Are you starting accounting in year 1 or did they let you go right in to 2nd year considering you had already spent a year doing computing?
Even though credits for the resits would've been transferred across departments I think I need the common 1st year!! e.g. Computing 1st year was TCP/IP, basic DNS, SQL & Access etc, I got 100% in Access exam because I'd done a lot harder at 6th form.... I could've easily skipped 1st year of Computing with no problems, obviously some people couldn't... I'm thinking for Accounting it'll be the complete opposite, rather than finding the year ridiculously easy, I'll really really need it and it could be very very hard!!0 -
Year 1, I never completed the computing year after the fools at Student Finance got me suspended. Uni wouldn't give me free resits in august, wanted me to pay to have my mark capped at 40%, when the suspension wasn't my fault, erm no!! Or pay to retake the entire year... I hated computing anyway so that's when I started with the transfer.

My course is more geared towards programming than anything else which is fine because I'm like a genious when it comes to programming.. although I do hate all of the paperwork involved in designing and developing software.
I don't know if I could see myself doing this as a career, I'd much prefer something more active. I hate nothing more than sitting at the computer for hours on end, I actually suffer with more pain/cramp sitting at the computer than going jogging for an hour.
I'm just thinking of the money at the end of it all... mmmm lovely scrumptious money. :smileyheaWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Oh I forgot our epic 4 hour programming sessions every Monday and Tuesday... amazingly I passed the bit of that I submitted, no idea how :rotfl: I've done websites, but Java and co... no thanks! Even for epic money, there's no way that would get me out of bed in the morning! Then again "professional" (1 company were kind enough to email me stating they saw me as a professional :rotfl:) betting isn't much better....0 -
Ah think I may have worked out Halifax. The overdraft limit hasn't increased, but we're not at the 2nd Monday yet.... but today when I signed in I got a stupid message about savings accounts, and all these savings adverts popped up over online banking, as well as a "upgrade your account" button in the box with my reward current account details...
So I went to offers for you (having only checked there yesterday!). Today is 5 weeks exactly since I opened the account....
Offers are shocking though, these can't be personalised or pre-approved, mortgage :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

In that style? I thought they'd appear differently (like a link to an application form or something) rather than just "tell me more"... those ones certainly aren't pre-approved though, so how do you tell which ones are (or are likely to be)!?
Guess I'll just have to use my guaranteed OD limit as a guide.... the higher it goes the more likely I am to get approved for a credit card with them...0 -

Anyone know any creative ways of withdrawing 1p from a Halifax account? Online banking keeps telling me 1p is an invalid amount. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
