The Effect had the amend overdraft link and when he applied and was declined this was removed for a period of time.

You used to be able to see the maximum credit facility on your credit card by clicking amend limit but this seems to have disappeared.....

Not on HSBC mate - it never on mine and mine is over a year old now! :beer:

You've got a basic account with extra's - lol..... give it 6mth and it will be removed. :p:p Just kidding you mate :beer:

Its because when you applied you were not eligible for one, so they do not allow the facility until you are eligible so after 6mth you can ring phone banking and apply, they will say ok then the facility will appear on your banking screen like mine does.

So I just scarped through when I applied? How do you know if they will remove it? Do you know anyone else whos had this?

Nah it will only come back when you wait 6mth and ring them to get an overdraft applied..... :D Cos you cannot apply for one until 6mth has passed, they will not leave the option there - why bother? It'll be fine, its not worse LOL - its simply a case of wait 6mth then ring them

Before you had you fraud markers (internal) did you make any applications for a credit limit increase? If so what was the result?

Just be patient and it will come back. TBH mine has always been there so I do not really have any past dealings. Best bet to keep monitoring it.... :beer:

Not on my card, I tried online but never actually clicked through it, just clicked amend limit to see what happened......

IRC The_Effects was blocked for 3-6weeks but he has held his account for a while and applied and was declined. He then complained and got given £100
