Thanks for that Sutton, quite a smart looking card. Kinda looks like it would go nicely along side a Sygma Accessory card
Well, next April at the earliest for me. Niddy; how long do you have to wait before re-applying to HSBC? I last applied in Feb. But will give it until next April anyway as that's when all my adverse becomes 36+ months old.
As regards to the arrears I mentioned earlier, doesn't seem like it'll be much trouble for HSBC as my OH, who was instantly approved for the HSBC current account online today, has had an AP marker and a couple months arrears on an old Littlewoods account at the end of 2008 (closed in 2009). So....
Just gotta wait until April nowCashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Go for it next april matey - you'll be fine. You need to wait at least 9 months if you apply unsuccessfully for their credit card, but otherwise for all other products it is 6 months mate.2010 - year of the troll

Indeed it is, so always safest bet to leave a few grand in there - they update the CRA's around the same time, and this shows overdrawn balances and the min payment etc made so always best to pay several £10 payments throughout the month to the card, to get a better outlook as it shows you paid more than the minimum....2010 - year of the troll

You should get a personal banker to ring lending up and appeal.
I recently opened a Silver account, regretting it now tbh. I'm sticking with HSBC.
I rang them up today and asked if I could upgrade to Gold and was told politely to "get knotted". I asked about appealing the decision or speaking to a manager and was told (and this is ad-verbatim);
"Look, it's credit scored, we don't care if you don't want an overdraft or chequebook, it's still credit scored and you don't qualify, and there's no point speaking to anyone else as it won't change."
I suggested that maybe they'd be better off without me as a customer as I'm obviously not "prime meat" so's to speak.
"Well, thats your perogative Sir...."
I really feel like calling their bluff and going elsewhere. Gonna have a beer an think about it....
Cretins.I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0 -

So it's 6 months from the date you've opened for a CC or loan with them?0 -
