That seems to mean they feel they need more customers, I suspect maybe a cashback option is coming up as well (none on topcashback though). That could be an easier way to bag a few quids more than not paying interest on a £200 limit if that's what you are eligible for...

When I go to their website, the Classic card has no 0% offer. I can't see it if it is there.

And by cashback I meant affiliate-like cashback just to open the card, not cashback on purchases - previously their prize was £23, but nothing at the moment. (Vanquis has £25 these days).

No idea! I was referred and they text me the next morning saying somebody would call me in the afternoon. And they did - asked me for my DD details and then said ok. From this I'd assume the account has been granted - and NID said from the text in the morning it ment I'd got it. Got back from holiday 2 weeks later to see a later saying unfortunately my application has been declined blah blah blah. Not giving any reason and saying write to them if I have supporting documents or similar (I binned the letter because I was moving rooms). Never bothered, if I'm borderline I'd have got a shocking limit anyway. No idea what they're playing at though, I'll apply again in 6 months and appeal that if it's declined

For all you first direct people on this thread just a couple questions. I have applied for the current account and credit card and I have the email saying they will open my 1st account subject to final checks, what checks would these be? And is the credit card automatically opened when I return the forms or is this something I will hear on later?

The final checks would be the credit and fraud checks. If they deem you eligible for the credit card one will be opened for you at the same time as the current account.

Thought they would have done the credit check already. Damn still likely to pull it back then ;p
