It's a neutral sign. It means exactly what it says - the computer couldn't make a decision so your details have been referred to an underwriter to make the decision manually. Neither a yes or a no :o

    Good luck!

I had that Vanquis pre-selected rubbish, was hoping it would give some kind've preferential treatment, but that was always a very low chance (everyone needs to be assessed!), and as I thought I didn't get any :p

How much would people say is normal to have going into and out of a current account each month? Is it just a case of get as much through as you can, or does too much look dodgy? I've got £1,200 into my Halifax so far (so hit the 1k target for getting reward), with £1,100 out, so my balance sits at £100... want it to be more to help the internal score but I'm still waiting to be paid  So needed to spend the £500 I did have left in there! Will put it back up to about £750 when I eventually get money

Does anyone know if Halifax can pay you the full amount on the monthly reward if you don't pay tax? On the phone one person didn't know and said claim it back from the government (I'm assuming Tax office?), another one told me to go into branch and prove I'm a student and they'd set my account to get £6.25? Don't want to look stupid when I go into a branch though if they won't do it :rotfl:

Just thought I'd mention - I have only been offered sub prime cards for five years now due to one default and one ccj, and have Capital One and Vanquis. I've just been offered the new Halifax Clarity Reward card though (I have Reward current account with them) - to my great surprise. 21.9% APR. I don't know yet what the credit limit will be. Perhaps very low, but it has encouraged me to know that things can change and I won't be stuck forever with hardly anyone being willing to lend to me. I expected to be turned down, so thought I'd mention it on here in case anyone was in a position like that, ie having rebuilt some credit rating with cards like Vanquis and seeking lower APR, and perhaps having some positive history with the Halifax/BOS.

PS I'm already getting close to closing one of the other credit cards down, so this has helped with that. Eventually, fairly soon I hope, I will only have the Halifax card with lower APR. I just wanted to add that so that I didn't sound like I was advising people to get more credit! I am working towards having none and this is part of the process - lower cost credit. :)
