I am currently on a DMP with CCCS with one current default. I haven't missed any payments over the past 4 years and will complete DMP early next year.
Is there any point in applying for a Vanquis (or other) card in an attempt to start rebuilding my credit rating?
Thanks0 -

Definitely
Consider Capital One Classic and Aqua before Vanquis as they are cheaper to service

Spend a bit, pay it off each month and you'll find that Littlewoods are fairly generous with their limit raises. Up to £750 already within 4 months.0 -

I started at £400 with Very last December and they've never increased my limit. In fact, no company I am with has ever increased my limit from the one originally given to me.
I have just asked them for an increase by email, will be interesting to see what they say.Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.0 -
I started with Shop Direct Group in Feb 09, Additions initial limit £400 now £3100, Empire initially £750 now £4400. Hve found that after a 3 month period every order placed in a NEW month following statement produces a £300 increase with every order.I started at £400 with Very last December and they've never increased my limit.
