Does anyone buy ice cubes?

The one and only time i'll be buying them is for a party we're hosting. We have neither the freezer space or ice cube trays to be able to cope with demand.0

You do realise this thread is a sting operation by MSE admin ....
You will all be banned for using your spare dosh to buy frozen water.
I have no sympathy ...You are not the kind of folk we want on this money saving site.
'fraid you're wrong there ! With the disgusting price of bottled water it is probably cheaper to buy ice-cubes and let these thaw out !
Very MSE:D

I wasn't actually thinking about storing them when I wrote that, I was thinking more along the lines of if you were having a party and buying them last minute or buying them along with your burgers and buns etc if you were about to have a barbecue...that kind of thing. They would keep in a cool box for a wee while for that type of use, I think?Herman - MP for all!0 -
i do if im having lots of people round, so much easier than having loads of trays freezing for days before hand as i always forget to refill them myself0

We have just bought an ice machine as we dont really have room to store or make cubes in the freezer. So just fill with water and switch on leave for a while loads of ice for this gorgeous warm weather0

I only just remembered that I have an ice crusher somewhere! Going to go hunt it down after the footie :-)
I definitely couldn't keep up with the demand if I made my own ice cubes and, for the sake of a quid, I'd not be without them. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0 -

For just a few pence they're well worth it imo.

They are handy & convenient but they are NOT better quality water:p0 -
Yes....I buy ice cubes.
It was always too difficult to get them out the plastic trays + you get lots in a bag.
I do remember a long time ago saying I would never buy them, but they come in really handy.
Lola:hello: Never say Never :smileyhea0 -
i buy ice cubes...i find cube trays break and when i try and get the cubes out they scatter over the work top and on to the floor...when u have 4 glasses to put them in ones in a bag are easier imoonwards and upwards0
