Does anyone buy ice cubes?

I have never bought ice cubes and I don't think my frugal mind could cope with spending hard cash on someting I could so easily make myself.but then I find it odd that anyone would buy water when the stuff that comes from the tap is good enough for meI keep two screwtopped plastic bottles in the fridge a day and renew them last thing at night for cold drinks the next day .I don't mind buying a decent bottle of gin now and again but would never think to buy the ice to go in it.If I have lemons to spare I slice them up and freeze them to pop into a drink for chilling and flavour.0

Yes but only for parties and at Christmas when I need a lot at the same time, other than that I make them myself.0

I buy them for the simple reasons of conveinience & the ice cube trays dont last long before cracking.
You can get silicone ice cube trays now, a bit like silicone bakeware. Because they are flexible they won't crack from the cold, ours show no sign of wear. Ikea do them in several designs and very cheap too.0 -
I buy them for parties only, big bucket fileld with ice cubes, cold water and bottles of beer

the silicone trays are often in poundland, i've got about half a dozen - big small penguin shaped, bob the builder shaped, fruit shaped...........the lot.
I think i got some of them at the end of the season for about 25p or so0 -
Our f/f makes and dispenses ice cubes or crushed ice so we have no need to buy any thankfully. Our lot like iced drinks so use a lot of ice cubes, but I'm not sure I'd buy them tbh, it's seems 'wrong' somehow. :rotfl: (Unless of course you had no facility to make them yourself and had no choice in the matter
)

I don't buy them. I fill a couple of ice cube trays with water and then freeze them. Then I put them into a box or a freezer bag and keep adding to it. I have them when I need them then
I don't think I could buy them.

r f/f diepnses them
we all love ice
thats one of the reasons i bought it
before that i bought the bags to make my own
fill, seal, and break what you want off
simples and no messing about with silly trays that spill and take on other flavours in the freezer
you get them on a roll where you buy sandwich bags in the supermarket
they lie flat in the freezer and dont take up as much room as the bags you buy0
