Try this site...
No probs.
Ok, I've just had a play around with the colours on the website and I can get the same light diagonal banding (on plain colours) as on my desktop (that's using no wallpaper):

Since I also get banding on colour gradients (as shown in that test image I posted yesterday), this monitor obviously has a problem. The question is can HannsG fix it with a simple firmware upgrade (like Dell did with their high end monitors - they're now up to version A03) or not?0 -
Yes, I can see the banding in your latest picture, & posted it at PCA.
Is your monitor set at 32-bit colour, as suggested at PCA?
I've had a look at the HannsG website & there's no mention of firmware updates. Contact their support & see what they have to say:

RepairTech
Tel: +44 (0)871 855 24 25
E-mail: hannsg@repairtech.co.uk
If no answer/reply to calling them, try again on Monday.
Also, keep an eye on the PCA thread & try what they suggest. If you'd like to try woodchip's test program, send me your email address in a PM. G0 -
Don't hold your breath I emailed them 6 days ago.0

Windows is configured as follows: Display Properties -> Settings -> Colour quality -> "Highest (32 bit)", if that's what you mean.
I've read through the comments on that forum but I don't know what moire is. That diagonal banding isn't the result of the camera though - that's what I was trying to take a picture of...0 -

I'd love to have the problem fixed mate but I'm starting to wonder how feasible it's going to be. If mine's a dud and I exchange it for another one I might get rid of the diagonal banding but if you're getting banding on gradient changes as well, then it's going to need at least a firmware upgrade to sort it out...0

Does the banding problem only occur to GoofyGAT and someguy only?
Is anyone else having the same problem?
Mine has not been dispatched and would consider cancelling the order if everyone's lcd is having this problem.0 -
By the way, I forgot to ask, Sui_Generis you mentioned colour problems but do you experience any banding?0
-
No just really crappy pixelated colours.0
-
caesarz, there's no pixelated colours on mine, but have to admit pics don't look as good as on my CRT. I'm thinking Sui_Generis' monitor may have defects. If you're not a professional photographer or similar the display quality is very acceptable. Get the monitor, set it up properly & then decide if you want to return it or not - I'm defintely not returning mine! G0
