I always make bacon rolls on Xmas eve (turkey rashers for non red meat eating DD) adding brown or tomato sauce for each individual, which we eat cold. This was something my mother did when I was a child. Now we have micrwaves and part baked rolls and I could do them on the morning but 'NO' they cry, it's traditional that's what we have !!
When I recently went to collect daughter from Gatwick after a month in peru she e-mailed (2nd time in whole trip) from Lima as she set off saying 'please bring me turkey rolls to the airport like you do at Christmas, I've been craving them!!'
Be careful what you do as it may become part of your family folklore!0 -
Thanks everyone, kids dont like croissants tried that one before, but may just settle for cereal and toast and jam. Love the buzz fizz idea, i tend to have baileys with xmas breakfast LOL.
Just love the idea of seeing them so exited for 10 mins on xmas morning before the wrapping paper flies and we start working out how to play their new games ect lolProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
We have egg and bacon muffins Christmas morning and croissants/pain au chocolate on Boxing Day.
I don't buy chocolatey cereals, we are weetabix fiends in this house, but thought about buying my little boy one of those individual one serving boxes of Coco Pops or something similar to go in his stocking. Just the one mind as I'm a mean mum!...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

:T Wahey! :T
We used to wake up early and go into nan & grandads room. We weren't allowed to do anything until Grandad had had his mug of tea. Nan used to buy a special box of biscuits to go with our mugs of tea and that was our christmas breakfast.
Obviously I've carried on this very special tradition
Followed by a selection box or 6 :rotfl:
I only cook the one meal too
ooooooo, I'm just like Fizz head - I'm all excited now thinking about Christmas. I LOVE it. I hope Santa remembers what a good girl I've been this year.Sometimes it's important to work for that pot of gold...But other times it's essential to take time off and to make sure that your most important decision in the day simply consists of choosing which color to slide down on the rainbow...0 -
