  • We always have fresh baked rolls and butter with some lovely things to go on them. I always have some homemade blackberry jelly, some nice honey, homemade marmalade, pate, and a lovely cheesy pea spread that I make along with orange juice and a big pot of freshly brewed coffee, makes for a lovely relaxed start to the day.

Chocolate coins! And a cuppa. Not really what you're looking for though!

ETA, with so much cooking to do for the dinner, I'd hate to have to cook breakfast too.
  • I must be the odd one out... Because we eat a full cooked English breakfast!
We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy!

I've never had breakfast at Christmas, nor ever heard of anybody having it until I came to MSE.

Champagne and smoked salmon & scrambled eggs and champagne, then some more champagne. Then a nap.

    Chocolate ;)

Actually we'll be having a selection of toasted products - muffins, fruit tea cakes, crumpets and the eternal teapot.

My kids (3 & 4) are not keen on smoked salmon in its "raw" state but they love it chopped up and gently cooked in butter before throwing (unsalted) eggs in the same pan to scramble. It's possibly the only food they will both wolf down. Even my mum, who is a tad squeamish about raw stuff too, enjoys this. Have to say I really like it too. But I just love smoked salmon anyway...

We would normally have a bacon or sausage butty, but i'm thinking something different this year.
What do you have for Christmas breakfast?
We have Pigs in blankets, so I'm guessing that wont count. ;)

Sorry to disappoint you but I don't think you can beat freshly squeezed orange juice, crispy bacon on soft white bread spread with butter and a big mug of tea to set you up for xmas day!
