    A quick post before DD's 3rd diving (not driving :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) lesson. She is loving them and yesterday jumped off the second board :eek::eek::D:T.

    Yesterday was a good but busy day. I got in the pool for a free schwim and managed 24 lengths, which is good for me, especially after a 3 week break. We came home for lunch, then went to a free science show at Science of the Cell at Whitechapel, DD enjoyed it. Visited our old childminders for a tea, then went to a wool shop in Bethnal Green, a great place but didn't find what I was looking for (a beginners crochet pattern for a blanket). However I stopped in the library and got one from there :D, so hoping to pick some wool up later and start on that. I'm planning to make a very dear school friend a blanket for her baby boy, due soon. It was a long day and I was pretty wiped out by the end of it. Spent £3.50 on a craft magazine, that was it.

    I had a bad night the night before, I got into a bit of a state and ended up in a very bad head place. I may have mentioned I have suffered from depression before, it is somewhere I really don't want to go again. Like before, I used to keep myself busy to stop myself 'feeling', and that is definitely what I was doing yesterday. Today will be quieter, apart from the wool excursion and swim with DD I don't plan to do much else, probably some craft with DD in the afternoon.

    Hi mw,

    not been in for ages & just caught up with your 'doings'.

    Re the depression - get outside & go for walks to fend it off quick; country or park rather than town.
    You're steaming ahead with the M OPs :D

    Hey Lula-Hula - I like the blue wedges you've got your eye on at the mo, but no way could I walk in them!

    Your right, exercise helps immensely. I have swam the last 3 days in a row, using my 'schwim' bottle tops it has been completely free :D. Have managed between 24-26 lengths each day, which is good for me. Walking is a bit harder as DD doesn't really like to walk, I love it and it does help my mood. OH and I did have a walk on Monday evening when DD was at badgers. I just feel discombobulated at the minute, all at sixes and sevens and having emotional flashbacks to unhappy times. Last night the neighbours had a gathering - I don't mind the piano, but there was a really loud bass drum going for hours, and kids just running up and down the stairs. It went on til 11pm, I was a mess by the end of it. They don't do it very often, but it reminds me of the time I was in a flat with a guy above who would play really loud drum and bass above DD's room at bedtime every night! It was awful. I felt just the same yesterday, any little bit of noise and I get anxious.

    So early night, which is much needed, was out of the question. However, after today's swim I feel more determined to feel positive. We are just chilling out at home for an hour or so, and then we're going to pop to the charity shop, buy ice-creams on the way back, and DD will play in the park for a while. I'll take my crochet and a book and just relax. I bought wool yesterday and a pattern (£17 later :eek:), am making an electric blue baby blanket for very old and dear friend's baby boy who is due soon. I hope it turns out ok, but am enjoying the mindlessness of it, it does switch my thinking off.

    I also need to start tackling the new back bedroom, in 2 weeks my mum is due to come and there are about 16 boxes in the way :eek:! Long list of to do's on the declutter thread, I'm not planning on doing them all today but would like to do most of them by end of weekend.

    Today I will:
    * [STRIKE]put away clean laundry (45 mins)[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]2 x washloads (1/2 hr)[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]park, icecream, charity shop (2 hours)[/STRIKE]
    * [STRIKE]buy milk!!
    [/STRIKE]* [STRIKE]make dinner for OH (45 mins)[/STRIKE]
    * declutter back room (1/2 hr)
    * [STRIKE]crochet, read and relax (as much as needed!)[/STRIKE]
    * pay deposit for camping holiday in august

    Not lots to do, but feeling overwhelmed hence why I am writing it down.

    On a MFW front, have done 2 x competition entries via tcb for £1.15 in total, 15p on onepoll, and screened out of an !psos survey. Only 125 points to go to get an amazon voucher as well!

    Had a good day yesterday :D, getting out in the afternoon definitely helps (as does an ice-cream ;)). Bought a carrier bag full of wool from the charity shop, different colours for £3, which will be good for crocheting a big blanket out of. As it is normally £3 a ball, and I have about 10 balls worth, not bad at all! I did a few hours of crocheting and got to the end of my first ball of wall on the baby blanket, only another 7 to go! It looks really good, even if I do say so myself! Now have to remember how to add another ball...

    Cooked some Hungarian sausages and lentils for OH, and fridge was definitely bare. We did a shop at Lidl and local turkish shop today, spent about £75 :eek:, but as we haven't done a main shop for 2 weeks it isn't bad. Need to buy a big joint of lamb on Monday though as will be doing a roast, nom nom!

    Will be heading down allotment now to catch up with OH and DD, who left for there about 1/2 hour ago. I'll be taking a bottle of water as it is scorching here! OH wants to put a new roof on the allotment shed this weekend. Still need to do some decluttering and pay for camping too.

    Stupidly went on rightmove the other day and found a dream welsh house - rural, beautiful - and a snip at £250k :eek:! I soooo wish I had the money to buy somewhere to retreat to right now! But until this mortgage is a more reasonable size (or I come into some money magically!) I will just have to dream.

    Sun is out still! :D. Considering a trip to the seaside, or a day in London, seeing friends at the South Bank. Totally forgot that I have drinks planned for a friend's birthday this evening too...:o. As I can't really handle my booze at the minute what with the tablets, I do intend to show my face but not stay too long. I haven't got them a present though, so need to pick something up.

    Have a good day everyone!

    Hmmm rural retreat in Wales, good job you didn't put a link to it or I would spend hours looking on rightmove for 'the one'!

    Enjoy the sun at the allotment:j

    Beach was beautiful yesterday - we live on outskirts of london tyo, so traffic not too bad. It took 2 hrs there, but less than 1 1/2 hrs back, most of the traffic was on the coast. Considering how hot it was, not too busy on the beach. We had a little swim in the freezing sea :eek:, lots of wave jumping, some tag on the beach and built sandcastles. DD loved it, although did get a bit upset when she got all sandy! Finished off with mooch in charity shops - nothing for me,but monsoon menswear shirt for OH for £4. I'm ok for clothes at the minute - OH came home with some freebies, I wore one yesterday - a strapless maxidress with tribal print, was really light and cool! Finished off with ice-creams, and a naughty fish and chips when got back to the rainstorms in London!

    I do however need some new flat sandals - does anyone know where I can get cheap (or decent cashback) on birkinstocks? My old sandals have half the sole coming away and the metal shank showing through on the base, so pretty much on their last legs!

    tyo - allotments are fairly plentiful in this part of london (well, for the big smoke anyway!). About a 2 1/2 year wait - we share it with a friend who lives around the corner and has more time than us to do the watering. Really cheap - I think about £40 or so a year (but friend is over 60 so is discounted). We consider it a green gym for OH and if we get some food out of it, all the better! With Mr TYO's new found frugalness, perhaps that is something he could consider?

    Migraines have been ok this week, think it is a combination of tablets and also not planning too much. Do feel a bit bored and like I haven't seen many of my friends lately, but at least I am not stressed! I'm not sleeping too well with the tablets either - think I need to take them earlier - so tbh need some quieter time til the migraines are fully under control.

    earthgirl - I try and stay off rightmove !!!!!!, but my finger slipped and now I am paying the emotional consequences! I just wish I could find a way to make it happen NOW!!

    Today we had more of a house day. Neighbours took DD to park with their kids, so I did some exercise (the shred, the first time in months!) whilst she was gone. OH has gone through his cd's, and has a pile to amazon, and another pile to go to musicmagpie. The MM pile is already worth about £17, the amazon pile will go on once I have gone through my books to avoid another selling something I can't find disaster :o.

    We went through the spare room and have a pile of stuff to chuck, and another big box for charity. Getting more ruthless now! Only 30% of the way through, so more to do tomorrow.

    Went to the local forest, and after frisby got well and truly lost! Walked for about 1 1/2 hrs - can't believe DD did it with only a tiny bit of moaning! It was beautiful. DD now in bath, OH making dinner, and think will watch our next lovefilm and relax!

    Hope everyone else had a good easter sunday.
