Quick post at end of lunch break.
Popped to Natwest to close account - but am £107 overdrawn, so wrote cheque and need that to clear so can pop back again next week to finalise. Looks more like a £400 transfer on Weds than the £500 I hoped for.
All dd's transferred, but need to contact those who pay in myself:
* Child benefit
* Child support agency
* amazon
* paypal
Also ordered my pin for the joint account, so should be able to get some money out of it soon!
On the way back to work, found a driving school and have booked a lesson for next Tuesday evening. The lessons are £22 per hour :eek:, so need to spend best part of £100 pcm to learn to drive, maybe more when closer to test. Not very MFW, but am getting pressure from OH to learn, especially as took my theory test 5 years ago and not quite got round to booking even one practical lesson since :rotfl:!
Homemade daal for leftovers, and no swimming tonight, so hoping for another NSD.
Right, back to work!Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

DD's school photo deadline is tomorrow. They use one of the funky photographers - looks great and DD really wants one.
Trouble is it is an awkward size - 6" x 15", and framed it is £29.00 :eek:. I can get it unframed for £10, or in a presentation mount for £15 - trouble is then it will have to be framed. Trying to work out if can find same frame from IKEA or elsewhere, but have no idea how large the print is once mounted.:(
Any tips from fellow :money: parents?Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Exhausted again!
Luckily have gok on telly to make me feel better
If only he'd come round to make the packed lunches for me after though :rotfl:
Have contacted Child Benefit - can do it online :T, and changed Amazon details. Entered comps, and done one survey, got points for that one, have one left to do when get into bed.
Also checked and found that hadn't had some travel expenses from last month repaid :mad: (I'm on a national museum committee) so have sent a chasing email for that. Good news is that it is for £75 so will go some way to making up for the cheque had to pay earlier.

That's a really odd size - have just been upstairs to check some of my frames for you (it's also known as avoiding the washing up!) and there no where near that size/ratio. Perhaps have a look on google - loads of places do frames so shouldn't be that hard to find. I'd be tempted to buy without the mount though, they're often not that nice.

Wrote a post earlier but tinternet connection from museum store is rubbish so it lost it :mad: also had absolutely rubbish journey back, waited over 40 mins for a bus from tube to daughter's school (read over an hours walk away), so had mad panic rush trying to find someone to collect her before after school club closed
. Now feel exhausted, so all plans to ebay are out the window this evening.
Will post again when feeling a bit more upbeat.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

In bed by 8pm last night, read a book and fell asleep watching Blitz Street :rotfl:. Woken early due to heat, so glad of early night. I do find that life is exciting and full, but then do so much that I get totally exhausted. Trying to find the balance is hard, and the MFW journey has to be sustainable, according to all the advice from other diaries.
Anyway, quick catch up:
* bought £10 school photo in end and have eye on ikea frame I think I can adapt
* went out wednesday night with surrogate parents, had lovely evening and v cheap - surprisingly good rose wine at wetherspoons, followed by a great turkish meal. total spent: £13:D
* made £3.80 on a book sold
* bought unworn pair of Jones the Bootmakers stilettos for £5. Still have £80 label on them! Having tried them with a few things at home, am thinking of ebaying them. Also bought an as new kids book for 25p, will be a stocking filler for DD. :cool:
* packed lunches wed and thurs, FREE :j lunch today as have training at work
* still shuffling money between accounts, can't wait until old personal account is closed. pin came for new personal account, need to remember it this time
* done a few surveys, OH is complaining that I always seem to be doing one!
* also, have signed up for £10 a day july challenge, hoping that I'll knuckle down now to some serious cash making!
Have a good day everyone.Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89

Awake early, tired but kind of like it as makes me feel the weekend is longer
; can't just lie in bed while awake anyway. Listening to Front Row on catch up in our sunny (but slightly stuffed full of tut
) office. Life is good
.
OH and DD are both illwith some sort of tummy bug, so a very quiet weekend is planned with lots of recovery time for them both.
Went out last night with a very dear friend, had a proper catch up and sat outside, great people watching, especially with a chilled glass of wine (a bit too nice :beer: I definitely did have one too many!). It being central London, I did spend £28. It was her bday recently, and gave her an absolutely gorgeous vintage handbag, plum leather, like oversize clutch with foldaway handle and chain. She loved it and :shhh: it only cost me £1 from local tabletop sale. I really wanted to keep it, glad it went to good home.
Having memorised pin, tried to use new personal account but then realised had left card at home :rotfl: so a bit more shuffling required this weekend!
OH, the angel that he is :A, contacted two builders yesterday about loft so waiting for them to get back to us.
My priority this weekend, after looking after the family, is clearing the back room/office. It has become a bitout of control, and need it clear so can start bringing stuff down from loft to sort out.
To do this weekend:
*[STRIKE]weekly shop[/STRIKE] £46.87 :j
* [STRIKE]clear office a few bits taken to charity, much more to do[/STRIKE] definitely 95% done, will break up rest into smaller tasks
* [STRIKE]ebay at least 5 things to do[/STRIKE] done 9
* add any books to amazon to do
* [STRIKE]babysit next door (not for money, just for a warm fuzzy and stops me going out!)[/STRIKE] done :A
* [STRIKE]enter at least 30 comps[/STRIKE] 39 done at neighbours, can't face any more
* [STRIKE]surveys[/STRIKE] had mad mission this morning
* find bank card to do
* [STRIKE]find provisional licence for lesson on tuesday to do[/STRIKE] done
* [STRIKE]take DD to park on bike and to drop in free art session tomorrow did frisby, bike and art tomorrow[/STRIKE] done, great fun it was too

well done on all your hard work!!
I must get into the ebay /amazon thing as I have piles of stuff waiting to be sold....but its finding the motivation...I think I want someone to magically come into my house and pay me for the stuff with no effort required!
I hope your DD and OH feel better soon!0 -
Let me know, museumworker and youngone, how many things you post on Amazon and I'll match you
Need to do this myself but I like a bit of companionship (competition :eek::cool:) to spur me on!

You're on! I'm round at the neighbour's now, so better not start now (:think: although they do have a lot of books, they might not notice if a few disappeared!:rotfl:).
Youngone, are you in too?Mortgage [STRIKE]16/03/2011: £190K 01/01/2017: £107,729.65 [/STRIKE] 01/07/2017: £95,979.89
