toots - staff craft fair sounds excellent, makes me wish I was back at south ken!

mouche - when are you on mat leave? And how many weeks are you now? I really need to consider exercise - it keeps me sane (-ish :rotfl:) and I really can't put on 3 stone that won't shift as I did with DD :o.

I didn't get a chance to discuss this blog with my friend when she was over for dinner last night; we were busy talking about other things, and also my housemate was around. I think I will email her to mention it though, just to ask if she wouldn't mind not mentioning it to anyone else as I'd prefer to keep it anonymous.

Busy day today, tour of store, trip to Kenneth Grange exhibition at the design museum and welsh lesson. skipped the after class drink to come home for an early night.

Have a focus group tomorrow night :j:j £55 if all goes well to OP :D:D.

    Must go to bed now.

I start on 1st Dec mw, but have 3 weeks holiday before that so last day at work is 4th Nov. I'm 25 weeks tomorrow so will be starting when I am 30 weeks and a bit. Am taking a full year off so won't be back at work till Jan 2013 (as I will need to use up my accumulated holiday before the end of 2012.) Have been going without a break for close to 10 years now so looking forward to having some time to focus solely on home and family.

My GP said that for fat women like myself, the very fact of being pregnant is more exercise than we're used to - so my theory is if I'm exercising more than usual anyway, there's no need to do any extra! :D

Oooh, that sounds fantastic - am envious now of your 14 months off! Whilst I don't want to wish away this pregnancy, I feel SOOO ready to go on maternity leave already!! Not long now til you go on leave - any plans before the baby arrives?

Like the extra exercise idea :D, may well end up falling back on this one myself.

Currently having issues with DD - her dad gave her a mobile phone (she is 9!!!). I think she is too young to have it, especially as it has internet and she's been going on youtube unsupervised. However, I understand it might help improve communication with her dad when she is at ours. I've said she can leave it on the shelf next to the tv. She's just texted her dad to say I won't let her have the phone in her room, won't let her use it and that's why she missed his call/texts. The truth is she just forgot about it, and didn't check it. So expecting grief off him now!

£55 OP made from focus group yesterday :j and have another ama$on sale to post today. Taking old childminder/surrogate parents out for dinner tonight :D.

  • well done on the OPs and amazon sales - I am gonna have a hunt round for anything to sell this weekend , its more car-boot type stuff so I may have missed the boat for this year! The hassle of packing up on ebay is putting me off trying that at the mo (books on amazon I can manage!)

Phone issue sounds tricky- is there a way you can put parental controls on internet part (I dont know the answer to this but can understand your worry about a little one with unsupervised access to the entire world wide web!)

congrats again on pregnancy, when will your mat leave start? must be early early at the moment! is tonite the telling the surrogates ? bet they will be over the moon! :)

No idea about the internet bit of the phone, will try and look into it on over the weekend. I'm really untechnical with that sort of thing!

Not got my head round mat leave yet, but am looking at mid may I think. Only 7 months!! Am 5 weeks today, I believe. Have doctor's appointment on Wednesday which will confirm. We're not planning to tell the 'parents', we were going to wait til 12 week scan - but as I'm not intending to drink, I'm sure some comment will be made!

£5.58 OP made today from Monday's Ama$on sales.

Hey rachel, good to hear from you - how are things with you? Thanks for the good wishes. Today I am exhausted, physically and emotionally. I have had two big crying sessions already - the first for losing some tickets I'd already paid for (OH found them), and the second because I put OH's mobile through the washing machine. I am such a !!!!ing idiot sometimes!!! This mistake will cost us about £160. Feeling a bit low so planning a quiet day at home. Hope you are well.
