Di could you take a look please

i have printed off the questioaire you advised but only the answers are visible so having afew probs with but intend to send anyway.

today addressed to my OH came a letter from Sterling ins co as follows (cant upload ) so here goes

    Dear Mr xxxx

Thank you for your correspondence.(i rang them)

We understand that Mrs xxxx is the account holder of the littlewoods Catalogue,
Under the terms and conditions of the policy, coveronly applies to the spouse or partner of the account holder

should the account holder not be in work.

I note from the information i have received that Mrs xxxxwas in work working over 16hrs per week at the date you were made redundant.therefore i am unable to consider a claim any further on this occasion.

I am sorry that this claim cant be paid. You will need to speak to your catalouge if you have difficulties paying them.

If anything i have said in this letter is unclear, or if you have new or different information that you tink i should see please do call the claims dept on xxxxxxxx

    yours sincerely

Actually yes i do have a prob i need my money back :mad:
This is the cover at present for littlewoods
    http://www.littlewoods.com/financial...ranceTP01.page
look at policy summary, the redundancy for spouse/partner is only if the main account holder is not working and is financially dependent on spouse/partner.If i were you, go for mis sell dont use the partner /spouse redundancy as a reason as you are not eligable.Hope this helps x

Tell me about it :mad: just go for mis sell, just dont put this claim you made as a reason, they will jump on that.Have you got life ins, do you get sick pay ? these are reasons for mis sell as you can pay the debt off if you die and pay your catalogue out of sick pay. You dont need policy document, i cant see the terms changing very much from before to now anyway. No insurance covers anyone for reduced working hours, you have to be redundant so your not alone in that. You go mis sell (see if there are any more reasons you can put down to help your case.Good luck with this and keep us posted x Any more help, JUST YELL :rotfl:

I think perhaps the first think to do is maybe ring theins comp and ask for a copy of the policy

You could but, i would get your claim in first, as i said in last post, cant see much difference in policy details from the past to the present day.But to put your mind at rest you could ask, as i would be curious to know now if it has changed at all.Ask sterling as that will be the co you got ins from, their rules may differ to now, but they may not.Tell them you want to see the docs for the ins you took out, as they refused your claim this time, my money is on the policy being the same as on littlewoods website now.

Are you any good at writing a letter? i am not knocking templates but i claimed all my ppi with a letter in my own words. You just put catalogue account number with ins number.
    Dear sir or madam
I believe the above ppi was mis sold to me.
    Put your reasons here
then you would like the ppi paid to date refunded to you with interest
say you will give them 14 days to reply and if you dont hear anything you will be passing this to the fos
send 1 to sterling and 1 to littlewoods, do registered and sit back and wait.Go for it , it wont take long to whip 2 letters off , and we will take it from there.I did all my own letters as the templates daunted me, i even claimed 2 loans ppi back from 7 years ago with just the settlement figures!!! so beat that x
