Tesco £9 finest meal deal for £6.50 if you buy 6!!!!

Just back from my local Tesco's.
Only had the 9.99 red wine, which no one I know drinks, one choice of pud (toffee pecan) and 3 mains - pizza, lasagne and kiev. Definitely not worth my while buying. I may try again later as I'll be passing by, just in case they've stocked up, but still not really worth me spending £40 on food I don't really like/need.
Anyone tasted any of it yet? Recommendations?
The pizza didn't look particularly 'finest' to me!

My delivery driver seems to have got lost, was due a delivery between 9-11am, hasnt arrived but the money has left my bank account and I have logged on to my tesco account and it looks like its out for delivery.

Wonder if they've got a new driver and cant find the house.

Bit annoying as ive waited in all morning and the delivery has stuff in it for my DD, milk, nappies, wipes etc.

Cant ring CS as its in my DF's name and he's at work till 6pm tonight.

Hope it turns up soon!

Bizarre: its now not even showing in my order history. On the phone to CS now who are quite happy to speak to me, shes trying to contact the driver to see where he's at and where my order is.

Result : hes 5 minutes away and my service charge (delivery fee) will be refunded to my card.

Hi, if anyone venturing to Dudley Tesco, dont bother if just going for meal deals as nothing left on shelf!!! (someone beat me too it!) not sure when will restock but just sides left, for some strange reason!

Just got back from my local Tesco.

At first they appeared to have little choice. No Kievs were in the £9 deal cabinet. However, I found them in the Finest range section. There was only red wine in the £9 deal cabinet too and I wanted white wine. We found the white on the wine shelves so ended up with 6 Yaldara white wine, 4 Kievs, 3 steak, 2 fish pie, 3 chicken breasts, 5 puds and a chocolate tart.

I went to self serve and put one lot through first to make sure it came to £9 which it did. But then I had to get the Tesco chappie to take the security tags off the wine. When it had all gone through it came to £54 which I knew was wrong. I had to get Tesco chappie back and discovered only 5 bottles of wine had scanned. So I scanned the 6th bottle of wine and it went down to £39.01 as expected.

So - make sure they scan properly. I bet the bloke thought it was unusual I wanted to pay for an extra bottle of wine!

I HATED the lasagne (as did DH) - in fact I moaned so much in Tesco that they gave me a Kiev instead! I reckon the Kievs are probably the best - but you need to be very careful with the cooking time as just a few minutes over the time on the pack will give you dry chicken. The steak au poirve wasn't bad either. Its all a bit dependant on personal taste.

Tell them if there was paperwork then you would have seen that there were subs and you would have sent some things back. It is frustrating, but as soon as they start mentioning 2 x mains it gets tricky.

Normally I'd argue it, I have had to a few times, if a glitch you could say you did not believe was a glitch, but you can hardly say you accidently put 6 mains instead of 6 sides. There is a fraudulent aspect after all?

Chalking it down to experience, goodness knows I have done well with Tesco and will do again, if I create merry hell I run the risk of possibly getting my address banned. I need tesco more than they need me due to my eldest child's disability

Just bought 6 meal deals instore - 12 mains, 6 puds, 6 bottles of wine. Cost (£137.59 less discounts £98.58) £39.01. Can't be bad. Great spot by OP.

Have been buying the 2 mains meal deal for a few weeks now but the extra wine discount has made it soooooooooooooo much better, many, many thanks for the heads up :T:T:T:T
