BDW is anybodies internet receipt being recognised on dells online status thing, as mine isn't!0 -
I guess they have just erased all the orders once they amended the memory option to cover their tracks. Might only be one or two people in the company that know about these orders as yet, so until all our emails start flooding in asking when our orders are going to be processed its unlikely we will hear anything. How do you prove the price and spec of the deal?0
-
As I said previously though, I had a call from Dell the morning after to confirm how many i had ordered so it is on their system somewhere. no other emails yet though0

The order has not yet transferred to our order status system.
If you placed your order online within the past 48 hours, please wait and try again in 24 hours time. This will allow time for the order to load into our online status system.0 -

For a start, building a Budget/standard PC/Laptop will always be more expensive than finding the spec you're after at Dell etc, as the markup on components just blows any saving on labour you might get. Don't forget the £10 difference in hard drive price would be far less than that, at Dells trade prices. Same with processors. Dell buy tens of thousands of these things and will get a big discount.
Try reading my post rather than putting your 'oh you can build your own PC's cheaper!' mentality in.
I wasnt saying you can build your onw at that price... I was agreeing that you cant! And that you wont find one at this spec for the same price new! :rotfl:Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0 -

Dear Customer
Thank you for placing an order with Dell. For internal reasons, we have not been able to complete the processing of your original order [] to your requirements. This happens from time-to-time when parts or systems are discontinued or incompatible.
If we can build your order with an equivalent specification, a new order will be placed for you within the next business day. You will receive updated order reference numbers once this is complete.
Otherwise a Dell agent will be contacting you to discuss the details.0 -
When did you receive that email, I haven't received one yet.0

hmmm :I
'parts or systems are discontinued or incompatible' - I'd like to hear the rubbish they've come up with for this...

Ok - this sounds like the deal we had with the gamecube and the printer in the past. They lied and said they no longer stock it but it was still on their website. We got it in the end after watchdog and hundreds of letters/emails. If they were honest and said it was a mistake that would be a different matter, but they still sell the same spec on their site for a lot more! So no longer available is not an excuse!
Still not heard yet though...
Besides - if they are incompatible their automated system tells you when you are building it!!Being bored is so boring Im bored of it... :rotfl:0
