Others, like My Survey already charge to redeem as, there, 550 points are required for a £5 voucher.
They have been that price for as long as I can remember, not sure I get your point about 'charging' you to redeem. Same with Valued opinions, they aren't charging a fee on redemptions, they've just put up the cost of vouchers (for the first time in at least the 4 years I've been using them), and I actually applaud them for being honest about it, they could have just as easily reduced the amount of points they offer for surveys by the same 3-5% (or MORE) and most/all of us never even notice it.

They HAVE reduced the amount they pay out for surveys. It's now 75p for 20 minutes, or £2.25 an hour, which is outrageous and I don't do it. It used to be better than that by far. There are much better sites for both screening out and payment.

Some years ago there was discussion on one of the MSE threads (Pigsback, I think) about the relative costs of vouchers for the different companies, and it turned out at the time that Amazon were amongst the dearest for the survey companies to buy. Which might explain why the minimum value voucher now offered by VO is £15 rather than the £10 it used to be.

But sadly there are so many people doing surveys now almost all the survey sites can get away with that as it doesn't matter if they lose a few members, there's an abundance of people willing to take their place.

For the record I have been with VO for 4 years and have earned the same (give or take £10) every one of those four years (although I accept there's the possibility I may be doing more surveys for the same amount, rather than the amount earned per survey having not changed, but no way of knowing that for sure).

Thanks for your replies. I did order several £10 vouchers to spend on one item (been saving them), however Argos would only accept one. I checked with VO and apparently this is the case with Argos.

So I guess only make smaller purchases and try to spread over several transactions.

Have a read of the posts further up this page. In some stores it seems OK and others not.

I see that some people are able to use more than one voucher at Argos.

Has anyone managed this since the weekend? I spoke to VO back end of last week and they were adamant on the one voucher policy at Argos.

If so, it would appear that there is inconsistency/confusion with the retailers and VO which needs addressing.

It isn't much use for VO users ordering vouchers that cannot be spent as desired.

I regularly save up my vouchers (Argos) and spend them on a single purchase. Never had a problem doing so.
