:T to extra pub money! I still don't know how you do it all, I 'crashed' about 2pm this afternoon, I think I nearly swallowed the whole office in a massive yawn! Although on the plus side my legs dont hurt this week :)

I am so pleased to hear that things wont be as bad as your first thought, these little knock backs are such a pain in the behind. Are you looking forward to the weekend already?

Tend to find the same thing - mornings are ok once you've pulled yourself out of bed, but then the afternoons are looong! Few sweets and a cigarette break tend to wake me up! :)

I am indeed - guess you are too :D

Couple of good news posts today! :j

My Dad has managed to transfer £3990 of my MBNA balance to one of his cards that he had empty. This will be 4.9% for 6 months then changing to 23%. So much better than the 29.9% I am paying. This means that I should see the back of the MBNA card by the end of this month, saving me a total of £718 over the life of my debt!:T

Also, I mentioned before that someone at my main job said she would see if she could get me some hours where she works (in a strip club:eek:) I would only be working on the bar though, so don't panic! Would just be three hours on a Sunday night but would be good for £20. She's arranging for me to meet the landlady this week hopefully.

Feeling positive today which is good as a busy day today - normal job during the day, followed by cleaning, followed by working in the pub - sometimes think I should re-think my MSE idea of not having a car as it would save me rushing between jobs so much!

It's all good for the money though :D

What is your main job? I don't think I've ever asked, or recall seeing it anywhere. I hope you don't mind me asking...

Also, strip club, should be good tips if you get them? And also more good news about the MBNA card! That's a HUGE saving! I'd wanted to transfer my Egg CC onto a 0% but got declined for some reason! It's crazy that they gave away all these cards to me when I was 20 y/o on little money - I'm now 28 making more money than I've ever made and I cannot get a card...

    Nearly the weekend though :D

I work for the MoD or more specifically the Military Police. I'm not in the police though so don't panic! I'm the office manager for one of the offices.

Don't think I've ever asked what you do actually, so same question back to you!

I know, it's daft isn't it! I have about £12K still free on my cards of you can believe that but keep getting told that BTs are a privilege! So, I could go and rack up that much more in debt (and never be able to pay it back!) but cannot use the room to move debts. The call centre people I've asked for the logic of this have of course been unable to help! :D It is very frustrating though isn't it which is why I asked my parents very nicely if either of them had a card I could use. Love my parents, they really do their best to help me.

Hoping once I have a card clear maybe they would offer me a BT deal to come back to them? Did you have any luck like that when you cleared your Cap 1 card?

Ooooh MoD - sounds flash :D

I'm a Business Analyst, not as glam as it sounds haha!

It's stupid how the cards work, and I didn't have any more luck after clearing the Capital One Card. I think I'm going to Clear the Egg card, and then go back to an Amex Air Miles card as I have about 1,300 airmiles at the moment so would like to start using it sensibly again to build up more. I'm sure once I've cleared both the cards I can be sensible again :D

Beccie, your diary is full of good news today... well done!!!!! That's fab about the MBNA card (you've got to love supportive 'rents!) and three hours work for £20 ain't bad at all - plus tips on top - I bet that'd be quite an interesting place to work too!!!

You are doing so well and we are almost the same age (I am 25 - just - July the 6th is my birthday). The fact that you're doing so well makes me think that I can do it too!

I admire you for getting rid of your car... my brum is an old 1993 Nissan Micra that is falling apart, but I couldn't be without it. I actually feel depressed when it is off the road. Good on you for well and truly grabbing your debt by the horns!!
