My LHA has gone down by £50 this month too but my actual rent has gone up by £25 month.
So much for rental prices going down when I renewed my tenancy last month they actually wanted to put the rent up by £50 but settled for £25 as I signed another 12 month contract.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

If they claim that the typical rent for your area has gone down ask them to prove it. Maybe consider an FOI request to see what research they've actually done."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

Even before this ridiculous decrease, you had to top up your rent by an extra £25 per week out of other benefits.
Have you reconsidered moving to a place that is at or below the LHA rate as you already paid out almost a third higher in rent than you received in rent related benefits?
Are you aware that you can keep the first £15 if the rent is below your LHA (though this type of incentive isn't bound to last much longer, in my opinion).
Or is there not much available in your area for £250 per month for a flat share?0 -
I understand that even if you are entitled to 1 bedroom rate of LHA, if you share accomodation then they will pay based on the shared room rate (which is much lower) What is the shared rate LHA for your area? as this is what they will base it on rather than a 1/2 bedroom0

Do you live in London because £350 pm is very high for the shared accommodation rate anywhere else.0
