That doesnt tell me that is does ANYTHING for actual online shopping
Id personally recommend FIREFOX with the NOSCRIPT plugin for anything of that nature (Stops web based attacks, redirects etc):idea:0 -
If your really into believing all this av BS then id recommend NORTON if your really into paying (I wouldnt have used to, but its a lot lighter these days)
But even thats not going to be as safe as running Avast with NOSCRIPT:idea:0 -
How do I run firefox with no script? Sorted, google is my friend!!! I must remember that. Is there anything else I can do to improve my PC performance? Any other junk you noticed on my log files?0

Actually, I take that Norton back. As its firewall is very poor (As are most)

Firefox ~
http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/firefox/
Noscript (Must be installed FROM firefox) ~
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/722/
NOSCRIPT works by blocking ALL website scripts (Which is how dodgy websites infect your computer ~ the easiest way to catch a virus after downloading). So you need to UNLOCK all websites you use for them to work properly (Like this one for example)
It also prevents 'page hijacking' (clicking to goto a BANK page for example and being redirected to a BOGUS page which would give scammers your login details!)
I personally set it so that it DOESNT show messages about blocked scripts. Then all you need to do is use common sense. Think to yourself 'does the site work ok'? If so it doesnt need touching. But if you wanted to watch a video on youtube say, youd need to unlock parts of it. Look bottom right, If theres ANY red on the 'S' symbol, then something is being blocked.:idea:0 -
Avast picked up limewire.exe as a threat on the first full scan0

Limewire itself isnt a threat
Though its possible yours wasnt a legit download
Or its even possible something limewire was used to download has infected it:idea:0 -
Are there any other suggestions you have to improve my pc performance? E.g clearing up any more rubbish from my log files posted yday?0

Id uninstall ADAWARE as its next to useless
Download CCLEANER to give it a spring clean
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/slim
Run the CLEANER scan (UNTICK 'cookies')
Then run the REGISTRY scan (Backup the registry when it asks)
Id try to help more, but theres very few programs that work properly with 64bit computers:idea:0 -
Ok excellent, thankyou very much0

Or neither of those and a false positive, which aren't as uncommon as you'll probably state.Just another dumbass with money...0
