Morning flyers,
I ironed for England yesterday about 6 hours in all!
In the District Sports yesterday DS2 came 2nd in the 100m in a time of 13.26. he was beaten by .05 of a second. DH has been on line and has found out he is 38th fastest in the U13 category in the UK. Not bad as he is in year 7 and some of those kids are up to a year and a half older than him.
Another day out for me today. I'm off to Wimbledon:T:T. My fantastic DH managed to blag some tickets so we're hitting the train in 30 mins.
Hope everyone has a fantastic day and I'll spend the weekend catching up with the lists.0 -
Morning everyone.
Dailies done and just about to go to my hospital appointment. Meeting DD to go shopping so will look at list later. Must ring mums care manager. She has had one assessment and needs another as her health needs have changed. It may mean she does not have to pay towards her care as she does now.
Hugs for everyone specially Toots Lady L and Diva.0 -

Hi all
Hope everyone is ok.. Just a quick post from work to say, I'm just not finding time much at the moment to post but I am still here lurking and trying, so please keep me on the list!
My computer used to be on almost all evening, some night now I don't touch it so not making it on to FB much either! That's the summer for you!
Hope LL is having a fab time at Glastonbury, looks like the weather is going to be brilliant anyway.
Catch you all soon.. x0 -
Just spent 25 minutes in the garden trying to get rid of the weeds. I was hoping to be out for at least an hour but am exhausted. Hoping to persuade OH to help me for half an hour this evening, morale support and we will get double the amount done. I am hoping when he sees what I achieved in that time he will feel guilty and realise that we can get the rest of that patch done between us.MFW 2025 No. 7 £1931.07/£2700

I had to wait until we had seen the physio last Tuesday and we have podiatry next Tuesday so I may have to wait until then.. and I can't apply for Mooms until after the MRI results are back which may well be October/November.. she is the one with cerebral palsy and they refused it for her last year.. but she has now been diagnosed withGrowh hormone deficiency so will be on injections dainly until abotu 16 starting later this year.. after the MRI results are in!.. yet we get it for DS2 whose problems are less physically restrictive than hers.. it is insane.. I am waiting to hear back about DS2's as well.. that went on 3 weeks ago!
I feel like a right scrounger now! ..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Today I have to print off and post Tiddles DLA forms.. we need a blooming maxibuggy thing for her now apparently and SHOULD (according to someone who knows about these things) be eligible for a blue badge for her.. seeing as she can't walk far.. Then I can sort Moomins claim.. after the MRI. I am STILL waiting on their new shoes.. we were told a week 9 days ago.. you cannot tell a 5 and 7 year old a week then take 2!!!
If its a Major buggy you need then that should be supplied for you see your special needs health visitor about it or give your local wheelchair services a ring and see if they can point you in the right direction.
If you are on about waiting Piedro's they can take 2-4 weeks it seems to vary depending on how busy they are I am waiting for physio to ring me back so that they can order him another pair as his feet have grown again:eek: But they make the world of difference to them.Blue badge varies check your local council website but if there are mobility problems it is worth applying.
WM x 2 done lots more to do though girls brought down a nice big pile for me this morning:mad:
DS decluttered to development centre they are not happy with the support or lack of support he is getting with his speech so apparently the health visitor will ring me about this we will see she never does ring:mad:
Right coffee and then will greab my list.
Holly Take things easy hun dont push yourself.
Mumto5 Hope you have a lovely day out.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
I have already spoken to the one woman who deals with blue badges and she said why haven't I got one already and was horrified I don't have (if truth be told I try not to take the children out because of their issues I can't manage them on my own at the moment.
The buggies are not provided unless you get higher rate mobility here which she won't get but the physio said forcing her to walk once she is tired will do more damage.. it won't strengthen her and enable her to walk further.
I need to ring about getting another copy of their physio sheets as well.. the SENco said she has a TA in after summer who is purely to work with SEN children so will have her do the physio with the 2 girls...LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
I feel like a right scrounger now! ..
Don't your children have extra needs why feel like this they are entitled to extra help if your DS gets DLA you can apply for other things as well Merlins magic are giving away tickets to various attractions for families with children with special needs and if you need help with household items theres the family fund as well. Do't feel like a scrounger there are people who claim DLA when they don't need it so why feel like this when your children clearly do need it.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0
