I had the forms for family fund once.. and never applied.. I always consider myself incredibly lucky the children only have the issues they do.. when you look at others that are profoundly disabled I feel a lot of a fraud applying.

I just remembered why.. the form said it wanted details of just one child with disabilities and if you had more than one tough because they would only take one into consideration.. and I didn't think DS2's issues were enough to warrant it..

Oh.. we are waiting on ESPD getting in touch with school about some postural aids for Moomin as well.. which is another reason her claim has to wait.

I have already spoken to the one woman who deals with blue badges and she said why haven't I got one already and was horrified I don't have (if truth be told I try not to take the children out because of their issues I can't manage them on my own at the moment.

The buggies are not provided unless you get higher rate mobility here which she won't get but the physio said forcing her to walk once she is tired will do more damage.. it won't strengthen her and enable her to walk further.:mad::mad::mad:

I need to ring about getting another copy of their physio sheets as well.. the SENco said she has a TA in after summer who is purely to work with SEN children so will have her do the physio with the 2 girls... :D

This annoys me it is something that is needed try family fund see if they can help with the cost of one I haven't used them yet but have heard lots of good things about them there are other charitys as well that will help with the cost of equipment if you need the links let me know and I will dig them out.

DS was given an hour and half one to one for playschool last week and playschool still arent happy so I have that to sort out to I did give them the co-ordinators name but sounds like they are going to go down inclusion route for him I have taught his play leader to sign as much as i can but I had to pay for the course I went on as speech aren't doing anything to help:mad:

I feel exactly the same family fund forms have been sitting here for 8 months, and we are lucky they only have the issues they do but it is bacause of these issues and the children not being able to do things other children can do that they are entitled to the extra help:D

Lil_me has had dealings with Family fund and was actually the one who first pushed me to apply.

the staff at school have been great with my girls.. the school isn't brilliant academically but in dealing with their problems they have been fantastic.. helped do the laces on their boots, let them sit out of games lessons when they get tired and given extra support when doing physical stuff. They have 1-2-1 when they go on trips because they are so slow they hold everyone up..

tbh I don't know if I can manage one of the bigger buggies.. I have arthritis in my hands and RSI in both wrists.. may be a job for super-OH lol

Get applying now Piggers, don't feel like a fraud, the funds / money/badges are they to help and improve the lives of the children. I mean shoes aren't cheap and specially adapted ones cost a fortune. So get the forms in and apply.

Well OH made the pack lunches and went to work late today. I feel so sorry for him doing it all, he was shattered while i sat there having a cuppa.

Been told not to do anything, so just browsing the net for a while, then going to put the BM on.

Thanks for your concern everyone and yes toots i am sitting on the backside while whining about it.

The shoes for the girls are free.. thank goodness.. their last pairs were £65 and REDUCED to £45.. Thankfully Moomin doesn't grow!! lol these are last ditch attempt shoes before we go for splints for the 2 of them!

S'pose I should make a start on these calls.. and forms.. :p ..

The new family fund forms you can add more than one childs disabilities.. that should help.. I may feel less fraudulent claiming!! Wonder if we can manage enough for a decent size car we can fit them all in! (read coach!! LMAO!! .. and yes I am joking!!)

    Calls..

    Physio
tax credit twits They sent me a second renewal pack when I already sorted the first one!!
DS2 school .. IEP review nag and detention reminder
    Order needles DS2

there was something else really important... ARGH!

ooooohhh.. Cool... you can request bulky item collection from the council online... I've been putting it off for weeks so I didn't have to speak to a moron on the switchboard.. DONE ... in about 3 seconds!

Tiddles ends up being carried... at 5.5 that isn't so easy any more.. and when she goes down.. Moomin at 7.5 (same size as tiddles though) wants to be up.. Her muscles in her back go into spasm leaving her in pain for days if she has to walk too far.

Mmmmm cutbacks are already happening re local authority services...don't be surprised folks if you find all those 'taken for granted' services disappearing.

Redundancies already announced in my L.A. I think my job is safe.

So already overworked and hard pressed and under appreciated L.A. workers will be under more pressure with fewer services...

On the plus side the banks are safe!!!!!!

    Anyway...DW x 1

    washing folded

Got 2 lists...one work related, one home related...will get on with them. :D
