Tiddles ends up being carried... at 5.5 that isn't so easy any more.. and when she goes down.. Moomin at 7.5 (same size as tiddles though) wants to be up.. Her muscles in her back go into spasm leaving her in pain for days if she has to walk too far.
DD gets carried quite a bit too, at 6.5 i'm glad she is still little. She weighed herself on my scales yesterday, fully clothed including shoes and she was 2st 8:o She has dodgy hips, a wonky spine, an incompetent heart and fairly crappy lungs:cool: So i don't grudge carrying her sometimes, who needs to go to the gym when you have a higgledy piggledy child:p
Having a lazy day today, may do some ironing later if i can be faffed.
Hope you are ok Holly, there is a virus going round here at the moment which is knocking people for 6. I've felt shoddy for about 2 weeks now. Horrendous headaches, sore ears, swollen glands, been coughing for ages and totally lost my voice at the weekend, also incredibly tired for no real reason. A fair few of the mums at school have had it.
Hugs to all those in need, hope Lady L is enjoying Glastonbury:TThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Mine are both 3st4.. fully clothed and shod.. also weighed yesterday.. must have been the day for it.. My 5 year old is fairly average sizewise. I simply cannot cary them at the moment.. obviously
.. and Tiddles has only been out of the pushchair since last October and it had a bit on the back Tiddles could be stood on.. this is why I think we have only just really noticed their walking is so restricted because they never had to do it before. KH wheels Tiddles to his on his bike and carries her home on his shoulders.. ooooohhh.. Cool... you can request bulky item collection from the council online... I've been putting it off for weeks so I didn't have to speak to a moron on the switchboard.. DONE ... in about 3 seconds!
I keep forgetting about the bulky item collection as we never ha that were we used to live and I usuallt get to the tip and then remember:oMmmmm cutbacks are already happening re local authority services...don't be surprised folks if you find all those 'taken for granted' services disappearing.
Redundancies already announced in my L.A. I think my job is safe.
So already overworked and hard pressed and under appreciated L.A. workers will be under more pressure with fewer services...
On the plus side the banks are safe!!!!!!
Fingers crossed for you that your job is safe

Having a coffee break then going to strip 2 beds Tidy DS's room and clean the bathroom well thats the plan

Didn't realise you had scoliosis, that is a major part of my DD's problems. How does it affect you if you don't mind me asking? Is really interesting to know from an adult point of view, as where my DD is quite good, she can't always articulate how she feels properly. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Hi,
I've done nothing today except school & nursery runs and feeding myself and Ds2. I'm going to do a HHC at 1.00 if anyone wants to join me?0 -
Afternoon all
I've done the bathroom and toilet today. No washing (not enough for a load). I've also cut the front and back grass, edged it and swept up, after spraying insect repellent over myself. I don't want to be bitten again, my ankle is still swollen from last week. Seems to have worked.
I've also sat and cracked open the half bag of mixed nuts left from Christmas. I don't like nuts but I bought them for DH and I'm fed up of seeing them sitting on the side. Dated end of March! If he doesn't want them now they're all deshelled I'll give them to DD2 for her birdtable, she gets a squirrel visit too so I'm sure they'll go.
Hope everyone's OK, not caught right up yet.0 -

I was only diagnosed with it in December last year and at the same time got told I have EDS,But have had constant back pain for about 9 years now(meds are rubbish) my back locks up a lot especially if i am in a bent over position for to long for example if DS is in the bath if i bend over the bath to get him out my back locks up so it can make life difficult but my eldest DD is a great help.
I was told if I don't change my lifestyle and start to pace myself I will end up in a wheelchair because of it but its not so easy to change your life with 3 kids
I have heard if it gets to bad when they are kids they can operate on it but not sure how bad it has to be for them to do that.
DS couldn't tell us if he was in pain and it can be so frustrating but its much easier now he can communicate with the makaton as he can tell us if it hurts anywere.:jmember of the thrifty gifty 2011 :j0 -
