Buy a new foam backed cover...

what kind of a sole plate is it? ceramic or metal

If metal, when cold try WD40 on a cloth (actually you could try that with ceramic)

and the reason you have the brown mark is you are ironing at too high a heat...

I have directions to go 'visiting' on Saturday.

I am SO going to get lost - I can just tell. Anytime I have exits to ignore I get all anal and CANNOT ignore them

    my directions include this line

SLOW down and watch out for parked cars.

 - erm that will be because he had to follow me on saturday and he's seen me drive :rotfl:

Like I usually IGNORE them :rotfl:

Thanks. Don't normally have it too hot but one or both of us probably got sick of clothes that have been in the pile so long that the creases won't come out

    Evening all,

    Had a productive day today
    • got 3 loads of washing put away that Moon had left in their baskets,
    • did 4 new loads and put 3 away (one load still on line drying, so will take that in tomorrow),
    • cleaned half of the bathroom,
    • finally transferred the contents of my old handbag into the new one (I had no idea how much I had in it, including a smashbox lipgloss quad I'd forgotten I'd bought at a fair, and 3 packets of tissues:rotfl:)
    • went to the farmer's market and got the fruit for the week (6 oranges and 8 granny smiths for £2),
    • got my legs waxed at the college (must use the baby oil to get rid of the sticky bits left on them),
    • got a free drink at starbucks (they overcharged me last time by putting the wrong drink on my starbucks card, so I got a voucher for a free drink) - of course I ordered the largest size (got to make the most of a freebee), :money:
    • had a quote from chips away - not that positive, as is going to cost quite a bit, I won't have my car for a full day (so no work), and he can't make the keyed bit right as it has gone too deep,
    • booked a table for my birthday dinner next Thursday at the Slug and Lettuce :)
    • did a tiny bit of food shopping with the cash I took out (1 lot of milk - can buy some more when the card comes through, lunch food for Moon, and lunch food for me).
On the downside, I went to use MrW's cash machine this afternoon, and it ate my card!!! Have never had that happen before, and panicked a bit, but rushed up to the bank, who say they can see no reason why it should have done it (made me feel better that it wasn't cos someone had cloned my card or something), but I'm still without a card for 5 days, as they've blocked the old card (in case anyone tried to use it when they got it out of the machine). Luckily I had my chequebook and some ID, so I was able to write a cheque to myself and take out the cash at the cashier. That reminds me, I must put it in a safe place, as I don't like carrying around lots of cash. Must make sure there is enough for petrol tomorrow though as running low.

Well I'm off to pack my lunch for tomorrow and check if the washing on the line is dry - can't believe it's still light outside! :T

Hope everyone has had a good day - congratulations to all who've finished their exams now.

    sexymouse xx

Well I put the TV on to watch the highlights at Wimbledon only to see a match over running, THE MATCH overrunning! So of course I then sat there thinking it will be over in a couple of games. Then 9.20 and play is suspended until tomorrow due to failing light! WOW and boo hiss it's 'Monday' tomorrow and I have no idea when/if it will be on so will probably miss the end. Mum is out and about so will try to tape it but no guarantees.

Explained the scoring system to Miss A as I was riveted to the TV when she got back from scouts :rotfl:

Now off for a soak and will try to stop rubbing my hay fevery eyes :(
