Why should i apply for tax cedits or whatever if i'm in work?
Also, how long would said benefits take till I had the cash in my hand?
Meanwhile I would have to pay out a lot of money I didn't really have.
So you are happy to claim JSA, but not Tax Credits? That makes absolutely no sense!
How long have you been on JSA?Gone ... or have I?0 -
Because they're there for people on a low income?
Ok, lets get back to the main point.
This is basically the decision I was faced with
Ive got 2 jobs here...one's at £300 but you have to travel, costing you over £33 per week.
The other job is £400 per week and is on your doorstep.
which one do you apply for........two guesses.0 -

Common sense would be to apply for every suitable job. Ten miles is not far, you have no grounds for appeal.[/QUOTE
You only have yourself to blame for the sanction being applied. JSA is for Job Seekers. You will of agreed to the terms and conditions when you agreed and signed your Job Seekers Allowance form. Depending on the length of time you have been unemployed travel times are either 60 or 90 minutes which will be clearly stated in your agreement just as it was in mine and every other job seeker.0 -

So you would be willing to work in a job for minimum wage and be out of the house for up to 11 hours a day?0 -
