  • darkpool mate yuo really do need to look further than the papers. I am guessing that you have never invested in a junior oil company right? Well it seems that way.

Please please spend some time researching XEL and everything that they need to do to realise the true potential in Bentley. It's not hard! Bentley is their only play! XEL are a one hit wonder but boy oh boy is it a good hit, think Bryan Adams "Everything I do" which spent 18+ weeks at number one!

    SELLLL!!!! SELLLLLLL! SELLLLLL!

I could spend a lot of time researching XCITE, but when I see all this gushing praise for XCITE it type of puts me off. TBH when I read this thread I have a nagging doubt that something isn't right.

Regarding doing research, well if the entire financial system can come to the edge of meltdown without the FSA, B of E spotting it beforehand I type of doubt I'll be able to analyse xcites accounts to see potential problems.

However I have to give some weight to the fact that XCITES nomad rates the share price "neutral". If I had shares in XCITE i'd be selling them as soon as I could.

You seem to be suggesting that I should ignore facts given in the UK's foremost business newspaper? I'd imagine the average reader of the FT is a lot wealthier and financially smarter than most. You think FT readers are all mugs?

Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop once in a while and look around, you might miss it. Ferris Bueller was on to something there.

You need a broker - who buys shares on your behalf.

I use www.x-o.co.uk who charge £5.95 per trade (buy or sell) and hold the shares in a nominee account for you - i.e you don't get actual share certficates. There are no credit facilities, you have to create an account then, when you get confirmation that it's open, fund it using a debit card (not credits card, that's illegal). Once the funds are in, you can start to buy.

With most shares there is also 0.5% stamp duty to pay on purchases only, however XEL and some others seem to be exempt from that, don't know why but I've bought three times and never had any stamp duty to pay.
  • XEL and other companies like MATD are stamp duty exempt because they are registered in a tax exempt territory. I am pretty sure that MATD uses Isle of Man for that reason and others use Seychelles, British Virgin Islands etc....

Not entirely no, but I tend to favour my friends 30yrs experience with North Sea heavy oil and source rock geology over a pink broadsheet paper reader every day of the week :rotfl:

If this share is not 5 quid at some point this year then I will be very surprised, look I know you have missed the boat on this one (tanker full of oil) but there's no need to come on here and spout all this deramping nonsense!

Good luck with your Safe investments!

    INSIDER DEALING???????

    Hi Shatner,

I'm confused here. You're getting information from your friend with "30 years experience in oil"? I might be wrong but is that not insider dealing? You do know that you could be fined and go to jail for that?

If you do have the inside track on this company why go on a public website and talk about it? The FSA aren't stupid, it would be easy enough for them to get your details and arrest you. If someone told me something like that I certainly wouldn't go on a website and tell the world that I acted upon inside information.

Why bother with what I'm saying anyway? If you think that I'm deramping (which I'm not - i have no interest in this company) surely it would drive the share price down and you could buy more shares? Then when this oil field comes good the share price rockets and you make a fortune?
