i just thought i would say i had a look at xcite energy on the financial times website. i'm no gordon gecko, but it does suggest one course of action....SELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!

The median analyst forecast is down 30%.

Personally if i liked to gamble i'd prefer to get the tuxedo on and go to the casino.

The 3 analysts offering 12 month price targets for Xcite Energy Ltd (XEL:LSE) have a median target of 198.14, with a high estimate of 247.00 and a low estimate of 87.20. The median estimate represents a -30.90% decrease from the last price of 286.75.

Do you have a drilling schedule for xel. Im interested how the share price corresponds to events
its unofficial due around 23rd, so far all the noises from management sound positive but these things are never certain, unles your on the rig

but with rig rig, additional financing at lower cost and constant bullish management statements its difficult decision

although on a downer ignis reduced holding twice in a month

The FT has a shocking record wrt to small oilers. IIRC they recommended to sell DES a while back after which it increased about 12x:p

i think with the smaller caps you really gotta do you research, but there some amazing shares out there GKP being one of them, thats my nezt move

got in today BMR at 6.6p this !!!!!!! better come good i dont like the management, but if they get the deal signed and the volumes of buy were out of this world it should be a nice 20-30% return

    GLA

Jon are you in XEL, im bricking it !!!

Since 50p with several top ups:cool:

Next week is key. IMHO the sp today has just been complete manipulation by the market makers. FYI, there were significantly more buys than sells, yet the SP falls???

There is just no way they would have signed up for the new rig with a $2.5million get out clause, unless they had a high degree of confidence wrt the flow rate.

  • Is there an echo in here? I said exactly the same about the BOD and new jack up all weather FPs rig a few days back and it fell on deaf ears!

To post that XEL is a SELL based on a !!!!! website is a joke, I could post a hundred links that totally contradict that one site.

XEL is a 99% COS share now and has been totally derisked and upgrades will appear, remember XEL have hit substantially more pay than first declared and none of the brokers reports that the FT site refers to quotes by Darkpool have been revised to match these amounts.

I have added a substantial amount today and will continue to throw the kitchen sink at this one as chances like this do not come along often.

i got in BMR too for fun only 1k will be happy with 30-40% there

buddy trade responsibiliy, i do belive from the statement and actions that the flow tests will come through I simply cant believe you would release such information and such action and not deliver, but dont put your entire portoflio in there

but the city is devil place and a fine example is B and Q directors bought approx 300k shares, issued fantastic profits etc 3 weeks late the company went bust, ok totally different situation

but deep down in teh city someone knew something

I don't know if it was a buy or a sell, all I know is that BMR is by far the most exciting share I'm holding at the moment. I'm obsessed with the bloody thing! Never thought a share would get me this excited :p.

Imagine all the unhappy people if BMR turn round next week and say the deal is off!
  • Yes the problem you have with the trading platform and the MM's is you simply don't know if buys are sells and sells or buys unless you look at the spread and determine what wen through at a certain price! The thing is I've seen trading sware report my buy as a sell!!!

Anyway, I'm well aware this can fall and fall it will on bad flow results.

Here are my current tips on other penny shares and they are not ramps, they are based on facts and facts only.

RRL - As I posted months back RRL have a great Director in Landau and are already in production in Texas and have recently completed 3d in Georgia and identified lots of prospects. RPS CPR (competent Persons report) has estimated 2Bn bbls of recoverable (6bn gross) from these prospects. This is a strong hold and I would buy up to 7.5p.

BPC - Again seismics have been completed in the Bahamas and billions of barrels have been identified, this took a wild dip a couple of months ago when the Bahamian goverment talked about revoking the licenses but it bounced back on news of seismics, again a buy at the current prices.

DPL, In my opinion this is the next GKP, a new oil province is opening up in Tanzania and this one is now on the radar, a fast track RNS is due imminently and this will add more fuel to the fire. A strong buy at 5p!

BMR - I think if you look at what I have posted on here you will know that this is way way undervalued and it is due a rerating soon. Acquisition of new tailing dumps in Kabwe is coming soon and it will return 30% short term on that news alone.

SXX - The only Potash mining company on the LSE and what a powerhouse they are! Drilling in North Dakota has started with Schlumberger as their partner and once we get the drilling results this could go haywire, remember the world needs fertilizer for crops and as demand grows from the likes of China, Sirius will have a massive market, plus the recent acquisition of more licenses in Australia means export to Asia is far more accessible.

    Good luck all!
