I have been using talk talk for calls for about a year and after some initial difficulties everything has been fine (plus £50 cash back after complaining !) About 2 weeks ago I decided to sign up for the free broadband. They were excellent on the phone, arranged everything speedily, said I would be online by 25th Nov. but I then had a letter saying I would be online by the 10th, sure enough yesterday my broadband was switched and I'm now getting 7.4MBPS (I was getting 6.9 with wanadoo) and all for free (ish).
I must say I was terrified after reading all the horror stories on here about talk talk broadband and law suits etc. but I am really impressed with the way it went.
No I am not employed by talk talk or connected in any way but I just thought I would let it be known that sometimes it does work out well (so far anyway)

not for me it hasn't. They upgraded the internet. this week and ever since then my house phone has not worked. Run out of credit on my mobile waiting for them in the phone queue. Went to the phonebox and ran out of money there too. Still no phone and after 3 e mails from me., they just e mailed back to tell me to do all the stuff i already had, ie disconnecting everything and putting them back on one at a time. Already had done so, had also tried diff phone, lead, filter bos. Still no phone. If I was still with BT Tiscalli I am sure it would have been sorted out by now, but no, I am stuck with an 18 month contract. I am glad yours is good, but I dont fancy your chances when anything goes wrong. Sorry ranting a bit but I am hacked off with them at the moAnyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

Does that mean that you do not have to take the broadband offer straight away when you switch your line rental?? you can take the broadband offer up at anytime after??? still free?
Want to move over to them, but too scared to use their broadband after all the stories, so would consider just the phone opetion and adding the broadband at a later date if possible.0 -
