Hi Click on computor then when it opens you will see " Devices with removable storage" and below it is a picture of a DVD and an pc item.

It will either have "DVD RW Drive" next to it or

something Like " DVD RW Drive then under neath Norton 360" or such like.

hi thanks for trying to help but when i click on computer it does not show. Devices or devices with removable storage. I cannot find dvd rw either. No picture of a dvd.
All it has is recovery d and os c.thanks again marion.

- if it won't read / show your Norton disk. Try another different disk, does it read / show your different disk ?

Are there no arrows to click when your on 'computer'? (this can 'reveal' hidden items)

If its not there than id say your dvd/cd drive is knackered or become unplugged somehow (Has it EVER worked?)

I would say any machine that refuses to install Norton is a very well made machine, btw did it also force your caps lock on?

re caps lock, no it is not locked on i am elderly and prefer big type.

Is it a laptop? Sounds like your CD drive is disconnected internally or faulty. What make is it?
