paypal dispute ,i need help please!

hi everyone,i emailed the buyer and asked Nokia's report.She replied:''Hi and many thanks for your reply. I didnt think you realised it was fake. I had an N95 recently - new but fake - person didnt respond so I had no option but go via Pay Pal which I dont like doing. Unfortunately the fraudsters have now found a way of putting genuine IMIE nos into a phone so the only sure way of knowing is by getting a Nokia Tech to look at it. I will phone today and ask Micheal to mail me a report. I normally have to destroy them.
Will get back to you later.Perhaps you could just send and ok in reply so I have a link back.''

Buyer seems to be on very friendly terms with her Nokia tech guy. What use is a report if the only one allowed to see it is the tech guy & the buyer. Normally has to destroy the report? Are they a one person mission to rid the world of fake phones, or are they trying to scam you?
Where did you buy the phone from? If bought new do you have the original receipt & was it from a licensed, or whatever they're called, retailer?
Your buyer is sounding very iffy to me.

it was a gift.My mate went to Thailand and bought this for me.I havent got the box..i got charger,etc.(we kept it for second handset).
may be i can contact nokia tec! to ask couple of questions.

I'm sure if you popped into any phone shop, they would have a look and give you their honest opinion.

Destroy the tech report? Then how can they prove to Ebay, as well as you, that the phone is fake?

I think that the buyer is saying that he/she usually has to destroy the phones - not the tech report.
Which, I think, is the case with fakes that are proven.

I would scrutinise the report carefully if/when it gets to you, and I would certainly be phoning Nokia
themselves to see if one of their tech guys actually made the report, or if someone with a bit of
tech knowhow has "fabricated" the report for the buyer.

The problem is here though that the moment paypal see a report on any sort of Nokia headed paper they will refund regardless of whatever scrutiny the OP gives to the report.
