i sold a phone on ebay and buyer paid for it,on 12th may.Sold as faulty and bought from china.I enclosed an official report which tells you everything about the phone!e.g:not stolen or lost.imei number,etc....buyer received the phone and positive feedback.
she emailed me saying '' Hi - I bought t6his phone from you as faulty and knowing it was from China. However I have just got it back from the Nokia centre and unfortunately it is fake. I am sending this message to you before opening a dispute with Pay Pal as no doubt you thought it was a genuine NOKIA.Hope to hear soon''..............................
what would you do?i really need an advise please!

You say it was bought from China, is that a euphemism for fake?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Ask to see a copy of the verification from Nokia. If they don't have this then pursuing it as a fake via paypal will be difficult.I'm not bad at golf, I just get better value for money when I take more shots!0

If its fake which from your description it sounds like it is and the buyer has verification from nokia. If the buyer opens a paypal dispute and submits the verification from nokia they will be refunded and told to destroy the phone as it is fake and its illegal to sell or send fake items through the post.0

Forgot to add I would ask to see a copy of the letter from Nokia0

Did you say it was a Nokia? If you did and it's not, I would contact ebay direct for advice as I'm sure they have markers for people that sell fake products and if you genuinely thought it was real, they will advise accordingly. I bought a set of GHD straighteners which turned out to be fake and ebay refunded me and blocked the seller.0

OP is the seller, or are you asking if they bought it themselves from ebay?0

If you knew it was fake, you should not have been selling it.
If you believed it to be genuine then you should fight your case.
As Bob says, the buyer (if he has a written confirmation from Nokia) will get his money back, including his postage and will probably have to destroy the phone. Your PP funds will be frozen, you will get neither money nor phone.0 -
What worries me is that if i put ' mobile phone China' into a Google search I get nothing but deals with look a like iphones and Nokias. I just wondered why the seller mentioned it was from China and whether i had missed something obvious, other than my initial assumption that it meant fake.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
