Fab, it is a fab feeling when you clear something.......helps to keep going. And reduced usage too. Must admit i never check mine. But thats another tip I will be following. Do you just check you weekly meter reading against one another and try to get them down further each week ?Do I need this or just want it.

Hi All,
Thanks for your comments about our electricity result.
Bluejeans:
I started doing meter readings when our supplier couldn't get our bills right and now it's just become a habit.
I do try to keep an eye on what we use and it's quite a good thing to do it weekly, because it makes you realize if you have a sudden hike.
We got a monitor from our supplier and that's quite useful a a visual guide.
I do refuse to be cold though.
Chev: Sorry I don't have rag doll pictures yet, will try and see if I can do it when I've finished them.

Am confined to the house this morning waiting for an Argos delivery for my old ladies house. This will be the 4th attempt to have it delivered!
Despite the fact it's freezing and dark here and I don't feel well have decided to make the most of being confined and do some more decluttering, start making a door curtain for the conservatory and maybe make an apple cake. ( Loads of free apples).
This afternoon have to nip across the road and do BIL's cleaning ( extra money:j)

Success; Door curtain made and up:j:j:j All very MSE bought a big lined curtain from the charity shop, cut it down to fit, used a bamboo cane as a curtain pole, galvinised wire to secure it. Then made a giant draught excluder with what I'd cut off and a flet pillow.
Success: Made big pot of tomato soup, finishing off my home grown tomatoes.

Have been frustrated for the last few days.
Having been on a roll last week and beginning to get my money on a more even keel I then had another spanner in the works! I get paid in cash on a Friday or rather am supposed to.
Friday I go to work and guess what the lady of the house has gone to her Italy house and not left me any money " oh sorry, I forgot" (what rubbish) I won't get it until tonight when her hubby will be back. So had to cancel a SO so I didn't get more charges and had to borrow some from OH and it's now thrown everything out of kilter.
Related to the above is I soooo want the job I had interview for last week, she promised to let me know in a few days and I haven't heard anything - sent an e-mail yesterday asking if she had made a decision and not heard. (She was very poorly at my interview though)
Have put 3 things on Freecycle (part of my decluttering) and none of the people turned up.
Rant over:
Day off today so will
Blitz house
Help neighbour sort her house - she moved at weekend.
Do some doll clothes sewing - if I can manage to thread needle today!:eek:Debt at start of DMP 1/6/09: £2942 - £1942
