Congratulations FlutterbyUK. That is really good news. More OS happening your way, thenIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Flutterbyuk - thats great news, its very good of your parents to offer to lend you the money. The only other funding that I could think of is a career development loan if your course is covered by the criteria. Will your employer not pay some of the costs of the course?0

Hi all- hugs to you all for being such a caring lot.I've only just logged on as I've been busy today, and was really sorry to see how sad some of you were feeling, but so pleased to see how everyone on here rallies round.
I do still meet a couple of people I worked with at school, but it has dwindled to once a half term now.Sometimes some of the others would come as well, but all they would talk about was work so you do feel a bit out of it.I agree it goes in phases during life, when I was a mature student,4 of us would go round in a group, lunch together etc,but all we do these days is send a Christmas card, and we seemed so close at the time.
We decided to go with the E Agent who came yesterday,so they've been back today to take photos.DH and I hastily went and bought some bedding plants to brighten up the garden. How long they'll last with Big Paws trampling round,I dont know, but they look nice and bright for now.My back was aching after that,so taking it easy now.I do sympathise JackieG.
Picked some salad from the garden, and gave everything a water, still so dry even after all the rain we had on Sunday. That and a bit of cleaning was the extent of my OS today:o
DS2 had a great time at RockNess, and cleared all his camping gear away in time for the EAgents photos.

Thanks both!
Re funding, I can apply to the LEA for funding, which is means tested and I think I'm slightly over the salary limit for full funding but may get some. There are also grants and busaries I can apply for. I have looked into Career Development Loans too and it will be covered so that's an option.
My parents would loan it to me interest free so it's very generous of them. I can just about afford it myself, as it's paid in installments of £500 a time over the 2 acedmic years rather than lump sum. But any extra help would be a bonus.
I'm hoping work will fund it as it looking like within 2 years we will all have to be teacher trained anyway so I'll be pushing that option. As my boss is leaving then she is willing to go the extra mile for all of us. HQ have recently given £750 to one staff member doing a work related MA so theoretically I should get the same offer. It all helps.
Guess I'll have to stop booking holidays now if I go for it!! :rotfl:
