The website has no phone number.

I see we have a new poster on here so going to go with a hunch.... Julissa, if this is your site (the owner is called Julia) then please can you add a number to your site as I want to know what size petticoat goes with the length of dress and I was going to call before ordering.

I have to be honest, I never, ever order from anywhere where there is no phone contact number on the site as I prefer to have someone to talk to if there is a problem rather than sit waiting for an email response.

Not sure what to do now but at least I know what I am looking for.
I think what I would do, given that you love the first dress, is email them and explain that you are not happy ordering from a site with no phone number, you understand that they don't have premises open to the public and may not want all and sundry having their number, but as an experienced web trader yourself ;) you prefer knowing that you can talk to someone if there is a problem.

And see if they respond in a timely manner!

Not sure there's much else you can do.

If you click 'View Tel Details' there is a phone number that comes up for this business.
And lower down the screen are a few positive reviews for this business also.

    Hope this might help

Good work Batman!! Thank you. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see if I get an answer.

There is a huge Gothic shop in town that has been going for a long time, thought I might pop to town on Friday and see if they have anything the same.

I will be back to let you know.

I really, really want the Dixie Blue dress. There is someone selling it on eBay too so if push comes to shove I'll have that to fall back on.

Beautiful dress. It would be fine.
Here dead we lie because we did not choose

Life, to be sure, is nothing much to lose,
But young men think it is,
    And we were young.

I love the first one, and the red one, I am just jealous that I wouldnt have the legs to carry it off.:(

You could wear a little shrug top for the chilly afternoon or evening.

love them all but think the first one has the edge, agree with another poster who said a fascinator might be a bit much, but what about a plain and simple pillbox hat, you could pick out one of the colours in the dress then maybe get a shrug to match.

Well. I spend all of yesterday working and forgot to call them again (tch,I should put it on 'my list), I've got a couple of months yet so my head in not in dress mode. So I have started trawling again and I've found the same dresses on eBay but cheaper, here is a link to their store online (not the ebay one) http://www.scenedead.co.uk/shop_scenes_scene/scene_clothing_dresses_skirts.html Now I don't know what to wear as there are so many to choose from.

I will be back with my decision. I do however like this one as it is very practical: http://www.scenedead.co.uk/products/pinup_hellbunny_polkadot_dress.html

How am I going to ever choose....??

I don't know, but if it helps, I personally wouldn't wear a predominantly black dress to someone's wedding, even if it did have lovely pink buttons and polka dots all over! :rotfl:

I REALLY, really love this dress: http://www.rockabillypinup.co.uk/blue-dixie-pinup-ladies-1950s-rockabilly-swing-dress-p-320.html

But would you wear it to a wedding. I would like a petticoat to go underneath it but I reallylove the swing style dresses. We do not really go out and it is my sister wedding, do you think it would look out of place?

I've got quite a big chest and a size 12 waist but did not want too much cleavage showing - after having kids I've got stretch marks. I thought this might not be much use: http://www.rockabillypinup.co.uk/polkadot-halter-neck-dress-hell-bunny-p-299.html

    http://www.rockabillypinup.co.uk/vera-purple-satin-polkadot-rockabilly-swing-halter-dress-p-270.html

My hair is red - do you think I'd get away with wearing this: http://www.rockabillypinup.co.uk/satin-polkadot-vera-rock-roll-swing-halter-dress-p-271.html

I do not have anyone to ask these things, can anyone help please. :)

I LOVE those dresses lol! To be honest, the style of the first one is most appropriate, although the pattern is not (razor blades and sexy women lol) so maybe the second one is safest. I see what you mean about the polka dot one being revealing, but if you wore leggings under it and a shrug top (http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_038010270060_-1?CMP=OTC-GOOGLEPS) over the shoulders it would be fine. I see it with some chunky pearl jewellery and I reckon it would be pretty hot. You could get some red patent strappy court heels with it too and it would be on it.

I guess it really depends on what type of wedding it is and what venue- would you feel out of place?

Hope I've helped (plus I'm so stealing that website to buy stuff off lol!) :D
