Tesco misprice policy discussion area part 8

Hi all,
Am a newbie on the forum so apologies if this if this is a bit long winded - just thought it might be useful to let other people know that when I tried purchasing a few Nintendo DS & GBA games today, they were scanning at the correct price as to what they are advertised at on the sticker.
The games I tried were 'Sharks Tale' & 'Spongebob squarepants' for Nin DS - stickered £19.94 & 'The Incredibles' for GBA - stickered £14.94. The only game that worked was Nin DS 'Puyopop Fever' stckered £19.94 which as mentioned by another user before scans as a PSP game at £35.24. Unfortunately for me the checkout girl noticed the misprice & was v. 'helpful' in getting a superisor to amend it. Oh well, you win some & you lose some eh. I was lucky enough to get one of the xboxes during their £20 off promotion so fingers crossed that HO will rule that in our favour & offer an R&R.
Happy hunting, bambam820 -
I got Star Wars DS game (sticker £19.94 charged £19.99) and Puyopop (or whatever it's called) PSP (sticker £13.97 charged £19.9x) today. Bit of a risk as no scanner in store - the store has just been revamped and enormous DVD/CD/game section upstairs. Just used checkout with the young male assistant and watched carefully as they went through. Was also a stickered DS Puyopop but decided not to overdo it. Since I have plenty of nieces with bithdays in Sept should be good!0

Very true, I persoally try to avoid clothes with special washing requirements. OK i have a few ties and suits that are dry clean only but the suits never get warn as it is so much hassle getting them cleaned. The only stuff i buy with washing requirements are non tumble dry stuff anything els eI leave it.
we had a box of washing powder or somthing ope on the way home once, no problem get the dyson out and hoover it all up. no need for valleting. Acidents happen unfortunatly no one accept responsibility for their own actions now.0 -

I am only giving my opinion so dont take this as fact,, but yes you can only R&R on an over charge against you... just a thought that popped into my head though... WHY???? would you want to claim against them if you get it cheaper than it should be?? C'mon be reasonable
No offence intended what so ever, just thinking out loud.

Only get r&r if the price your charged is higher than that on the SEL.
So in the charged 15 for a 20£ item, you got a good deal with £5 off.
What, do you want to refund Tesco £5 ?Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -
Hello all, I know you have answered this question about R + R about a million times but I just need to confirm in my own mind.
Right this was my second attempt at R and R, the first went ok after some discussion and much playing dumb, today did not work very well, I picked up three packs of organic chicken legs, I spotted the SEL £3.99 per Kilo and the pack price was £4.99 per kilo, all the other packs had labels on them saying £1 off per kilo, so I picked the three that didnt.
I went to pay, all went through fine, I then went to CS and started to ask, I was playing dumb and she gave me money back and then tried charging me the difference, I pointed out the policy and the sign behind the desk, she said this did not count, as it was different bar code and no £1off stickers on them, it could be different chicken, we argued for a little while and I decided to walk away and not take the chicken mainly to save my main argument for another day.
However I would just like to make sure that I am correct, R+R policy should count here and the CS person was incorrect.
Thanks for your help

Bare in mind that an average size Tesco Supermarket with a Petrol station takes around £1 million a week turnover. Think of a big Extra store in prime location and the figures can be scary! Tesco aren't gonna let anyone have control over that, so they will want people with sufficient knowledge and skills as wel as a proven track record. That doesn't come cheap.0 -
My local Tesco had 3 lots of console sels, they had a
"buy xbox 360 / ps2 and game and save £20" sel, a
"buy xbox 360 / ps2 and game of the week and save £10" sel, and a
"buy xbox 360 / ps2 and game of the week and save £20".
The "buy xbox 360 / ps2 and game and save £20" sel was on the shelf with the xbox 360 core. I took a 360 core and a game to a till and no discount came off, went to CS who were just about to issue my refund when the member of staff when to check something. They came back and said they couldn't offer the full refund but would refund £20. I asked why the R&R policy didn't apply and they said the offer was for the xbox 360 premium pack and not the core pack (which had the save £20 sel on it). I got the store to put me though to HO, the first person I spoke to at HO said he'd have to put me on hold while he spoke to someone higher up, I was on hold for 10 mins before the phone cut outThe store got me back on the line to HO but the guy I spoke to second basically said that they couldn't overrule the store. At this point I gave up and just got a refund.
I must say that the staff in the store where very helpful and friendly.0
