Read the actual wording of the policy on the first page of this thread and you will see that you are incorrect.

Yes....apologies,,,,you just beat me to your reply, as I was about to edit my post....
  • Saw a store in East Anglia with the offending SEL still up today. Didn't bother trying it, though. Nice looking store, too. Mcdonag, I think it's one of the ones you sometimes go to...

Don't quote me, going from memory...but I think the Core SEL says "Xbox 360 Core" and the Premimum just says "Xbox 360". I may have got the exact wording wrong, but I dont think the Premium SEL has the word Premium in it :o

Edit - Spooky...written before the above post was made :D

With respect though......Are they not all "XBox 360's"

Indeed they are. I was responding to this bit
If the offer was for the "premium pack", the sel would have stated "premium pack

as that is not correct. The SEL for the Core states Core, the SEL for the Premium does not state Premium.

Hello all, I know you have answered this question about R + R about a million times but I just need to confirm in my own mind.

Right this was my second attempt at R and R, the first went ok after some discussion and much playing dumb, today did not work very well, I picked up three packs of organic chicken legs, I spotted the SEL £3.99 per Kilo and the pack price was £4.99 per kilo, all the other packs had labels on them saying £1 off per kilo, so I picked the three that didnt.

I went to pay, all went through fine, I then went to CS and started to ask, I was playing dumb and she gave me money back and then tried charging me the difference, I pointed out the policy and the sign behind the desk, she said this did not count, as it was different bar code and no £1off stickers on them, it could be different chicken, we argued for a little while and I decided to walk away and not take the chicken mainly to save my main argument for another day.

However I would just like to make sure that I am correct, R+R policy should count here and the CS person was incorrect.

    Thanks for your help

    James

If the SEL description was the same as the description on the packs you bought, then in my opinion you should have had a full RnR....I have picked similar "unreduced" packs up in the past and have be given a full RnR......

Yey, I'm back from LegoLand and Chessington World of Adventure, compliments of Mr T.

    My receipts state:

    360 Console * 279.97
    PS2 Silver * 109.97
    PSP Base * 149.97
    PSP Giga Pack * 209.97
    PS2 Console Bl * 209.97

Dunno if this helps the argument?

Dont know if deliberate but my local Extra store's scanner has been temporarily unavailable for about 2 months now. Wonder if they dont want people checking prices. This store does appear to be on the ball though. The last time I looked any of the bacon joints priced at £3.30 had new labels over them and the other night they had cleared all the "mis-labelled DS and GBA games and put nice new "correct" SELS out. Although they are quick to rectify and pricing errors thye are also very fair on the R&R. Never had a problem.

    mcdonag,
Wowzzers! did you buy all of those?? and more importantly did you get any R&R?? My DH would kill me if I speculated on our CC to that extent, :rotfl:

Although he now thinks I have B***s of steel to go and get the R&R's I have been successful on so far (seems he's a bit of a chicken..:rolleyes2) but now I am his hero, (not that I wasn't before) and he just loves me even more  bless!!

This is more due to the fact that it seems the scanners are fairly easy to break, although the amount of kids that try to rip them off the wall its no surprise! Also, the scanners are very, very low down on the store "to do" list, so much in fact that no-one probably cares, or has even noticed that the thing isn't working!
