Of course they do not have to sell it you, but if they already have sold it to you, as in the case of R&R, then the law still states its illegal to charge the higher price where two are displayed!
That's my understanding. Once they accept payment from you then you have a contract with them so if they later discover the price was completely wrong then there is nothing legally they can do. It's only before they accept the payment can they then say that it has been accidently mispriced and can refuse to sell it to you based on the old price.

regarding this post in the misprices

I wonder what the poster actually asked? if he asked wat about the r+r policy Im not sure if he would know what you were talking about.

as far as I know r+r is sommthing that we use to refer to the policy, maybe constantine or spa2k could let us know if the polict is refered to as r+r?

    Thanks
    LJ

In the 'official' Tesco docs I have got my hands on the R&R policy is described in detail - but without the specific phrase 'R&R' - if you see what I mean.

one local tescos store has a bulk policy notice right by the cs desk... near the big blue price sign policy... it mentions a bulk sale of 6.. the amount is written in marker.. with the no 6 and written in letters six... so maybe each store has its own bulk amount policy...

Yep - this one has been covered many times....

....the general consensus is that this policy is not for R&R prevention - rather stopping customers buying vast quantities of bargain goods - similar to the old Safeways policy.

    Cheers

Redfox- the first post on this thread gets longer each time you start a new one!

Just want to say I (and I'm sure many others too) appreciate your hard work and time given to "board guiding" in this and the other misprice thread.

    Thank you.

    Well said!

  • We got a R&R on a psp+game but had a real battle to get it..

On friday I got a psp+cars game and the £10 discount as promoted on poster of save £10 when you buy game and console never came off. Took an eternity to get R&R as store manager agrued that the £10 was off the game. I argued it was off the "bundle". I won in the end as HO overruled him and much to his very obvious annoyance i gor my R&R.

This may help others so read carefully... tonight whilst shopping in tesco.. similar poster offering "save £10 when you buy with nintendo DS" it has the game of the week listed as Mario cart BUT a picture of the Garfield DS game on the poster SO that means it is "the package" that the saving is on NOT the game of the week. Sorry if i haven't made that very easy to understand :o

So all of those people who were fobbed off with "its only off the game" should of received their R&R

    Thought I'd let you know

    Hi all

Just wanted to let you all know a conversation I overheard at CS today. Customer was complaining that the juice drinks she had bought had been badly designed (the sort with the straw sort of built in) She stated she had to have clothes dry cleaned cos of the mess. CS refunded her and told her to bring in dry cleaning bill as they would pay for that too!

Also the woman behind me was waiting with her vehicle servicing book and her AA card. Wish I had time to see what that was about but was in a hurry!

  • I really dont think its a specific game that causes the discount.. its just a bundle buy!

it cant be the game of the week as the poster in my local tesco shows "Mario" as the game of the week but also a picture of the "garfield" game on the poster as well .. so it must be just buy a game and a console and save £10??

maybe I am reading it all wrong but that was my arguement and it got me mine :j

That was my argument as well......but I didnt get mine.....HO customer services were absolutely useless,(although the manager didnt give them the correct explanation) I wish I'd spoken to someone in authority.
