I wouldnt try it if I were you. Up to you though.
I am going to write a letter (as opposed to previous e-mail) of complaint now.
I suggest people keep the board updated of what HO has said to them about this R+R and how their complaint has turned out, otherwise not to discuss the issue any more as its been going on for some time.
Yes, I've seen it still advertised and have hesitated about whether to go for it or not - also worried in case now that everyone is back after the Bank Hol at HQ they might actually have sorted the problem and it may scan with all games?0 -

I guess as long as you have a decent manager in the store, HO won't even be contacted. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Hey!! Heymishpumpkin!! re 'not intentionally abusing r&r policy' NOBODY is abusing Tesco's r&r policy. Lets all be absolutly sure it is Tesco who are abusing thier customers with their poor standard of integrity. Please lets all be positive about this.0

12 of one item may sound a lot but if you are buying treats for the goody bags at a kids party then believe me it is not
hope this helps
Absolutely. We buy 12 litres of orange juice per week.0 -
What time is HO / CS open till ?0

People CAN'T abuse this R&R policy! Once they do a refund because of a price mistake someone should be sent immediately to either
a: remove the offending SEL, or
b: reprice the incorrect packs.
If their management is too lazy to correct a clear breach of the law as regards misleading pricing, despite being clearly informed of it, then it is THEIR abuse of customers, not the customer abuse of them that applies!
If someone gets really shirty with you then you could get even by asking for their name and reporting them to Trading Standards for deliberate and flagrant abuse of the law, DESPITE you informing them of it.
Chances are though that you'll get banned from your Tesco and have your Clubcard confiscated, because that appears to be what happens when customers stand up for their rights, so if you report them ask TS to keep your name secret for fear of reprisals! You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0 -

I cant believe that people are getting r&r on consoles today. Please post the name of the store as it would help people who are trying to get H/O to authorise thier refund. Every customer should be treated the same.0 -

The Consumer Protection Act 1987 makes it an offence for a trader to give a consumer misleading price indications...
If you look at this FAQ advice leaflet from the https://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk website. About half-way down you'll see see this:-"I want to purchase a three piece suite that is on display in a shop. The shop refused to sell it to me. Does a shop have the right to refuse to sell goods?"
Yes! Goods on display in a shop are there for you to make an offer to buy, the shop is not obliged to accept your offer. The same applies where goods have been labelled with the wrong price; the shop does not have to sell at that price.0 -

But I think that this is for a pre-purchase query.
For example, you approach Tesco staff to confirm the price... they say it's wrong and remove the item from sale, or place the correct pricing information on display.
However, R&R is for post-purchase - when the lowest displayed price wasn't charged?0 -

Of course they do not have to sell it you, but if they already have sold it to you, as in the case of R&R, then the law still states its illegal to charge the higher price where two are displayed!0
