Sorry if this has been posted before but:
I have just noticed that in my tesco's nearly all of the bacon and gammon products now no longer have a pack price printed on - the white space for the price is left blank, and there's *only* the SEL. Is this the store's way of avoiding price discrepancy R&Rs? Anyone here work for Tesco?

No, the store has no control over how it comes in (unless they want to sit there with a bottle ot Tippex ;-). Bacon goes in cycles for some reason of being priced/not being priced. Not sure why it still comes with a pack price any more tbh...not a lot else does thats not catchweight.
Who or what was I before you came in to my life
    I am not sure

I'm here looking but been very busy working today!
Definitely no intention on going "underground".
Try to visit one (or maybe two) of my local stores tomorrow!

I asked a similar question in the previous thread and was told it was definately not "on the stroke of midnight". It appears there is no nationally agreed time for this, and depends on the specific store to set the time, possibly when they deem to have the staff available to change the outdated SEL's......but,..... there was a post earlier where a CS lady was complaining that the "prices had changed" but...."there were no staff in at that time to change the SEL's".....

I think that depends on the particular policy of that store.....but if you manage to get a trolly full through the checkouts, then they should give you an RnR on the whole trolly full, as they've agreed to sell you it, so should abide by the rest of their policy

Unless you are getting an R&R, don't bother with Tesco. They are so EXPENSIVE!

Lidl always sell Stella at a good price, and sometimes it's even on a lower, special offer. Worth calling in, even if that's all you are buying.

Often beer offers are extended so you will probably be charged correctly. I know the 20 bottles for £9.98 has been. Check the prices on Tesco's web first.

    huh? DO share!

Nah, I can't share any of my toys ;)

But seriously the info that I have is in fact some scans of a Tesco handbook or training document relating to pricing etc - I tried to copy & paste without success - some weird format.

By and large the info simply reiterates well known Tesco policy with R&R and goes on to instruct CS staff how to act - if I spot individual posts where the info I have will help, I'll of course post a response.

    Take her easy,
