WHATABOUT THE OTHER 10000000 PEOPLE THAT GET OVERCHARGED EVERYDAY BY TESCO..MAYBE YOU COULD GIVE TESCO A RING AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THAT ?
So is it the case of being ok for tesco to rob its customers on a daily basis,
but not OK for people to make sure they get a good deal ?
On that logic is it ok to walk into Tesco and help yourself to a load of stock and walk out? Call it revenge for the thousands being overcharged?!
Tesco don't KNOWINGLY overcharge. Its ERROR not POLICY. There is no budgeting for it at head office. The correct price for an item is the one that scans through the till. That is the price set at head office and that is the price that the budgeting and accounting goes by.
If the SEL differs than that is what is wrong. And that, 9 times out of 10 is a human error (the system is fine until the bloody humans get involved).
It is not like they say put this price on the till, this price on the SEL, then we can add up how much extra profit we make. The till price is the correct price.frequent wrote:Tesco knowingly overcharge, they must know all about the XBOX's by now, and they are still selling them
Using the X-Box problem as an example, head office have sent out advice to stores around this problem. If they have not acted on it then that is there fault and they are stupid, but it is not part of a conspiracy to overcharge from the company.
mcdonag is on very dodgy ground if he is infact using the methods he has described here. Setting the moral issues aside he is breaking the law and is asking for trouble. Not sure thats a good move for a store detective?bigbill wrote:Whats to stop Mcdonag and others brave enough removing the yellow SEL's from the shelf while they are in date and going through at the right price so no chance of any R&R, then replacing them when they are out of date and claiming an overcharge and full R&R?
Illegal of course but just a thought.
In theory there is nothing to stop them. It is fraud though, and has happened. Certain individuals were caught and the police involved.0 -
I have just been introduced to R & R, and plan to try it out tomorrow. Can anyone tell me the latest things that they have been able to get? Also do all stores have the scanners? I don't think I have ever seen them in my local store, bu then again I have never looked.0

ON THE CONTRARY I had the discount deducted on a 360 Core and Prey today. It's worth a try, but be aware that local stores can clearly override these offers.0 -

In terms of legality it's only one offence as well. Stealing a SEL then replacing it to commit fraud is clearly two!
Let's keep this board clean - we don't want Martin going down for conspiracyCan I help?0 -
I know 22:00 seems to be a standard time for CS desks to close, but does anybody know what time they open, or does it vary from store to store?
I'm on nights and finish work around 0700, so wonder whether its worth stopping off on my way home, but I don't want to be hanging around for ages waiting for CS to open, when all I want to do is go home to sleep.Debt free since December 2015. It can be done0 -

Look at the misprices thread, rather than the discussion one.

Have a look at this thread to see if your local store is mentioned
