This is NOT life and death, it's a GAME

Surely this is a hypercritical statement? If you visit these boards it implies that you too are after r+r's and therfore are one of these selfish people you desribe?
    Not necessarily.
I visit this board often but have never had an R&R or actively sought one out. I just like reading the arguments and chipping in with the odd opinion. That's why it's a discussion area :)
    Can I help?
  • Okay peeps - tried an R&R on an out of date SEL earlier today. Offered difference but refused, then Store Dep Mgr said was only prepared to offer difference. Did not accept and said I'd speak to Cust Services.

What chances have I got tomorrow with CS and what tips do you offer to get CS to overule store?

If you were overcharged on both, then they should refund on both.....They may query why you want two of the same game....Presents for nephews would be my answer.....

But only 1 is mispriced, so they may well refuse you and you end up having a big argument.

I always phone head office either while I'm standing at customer services or in the carpark I never wait till I get home, I would have to return to the store for the refund eiter way.

Ohh and if anyone ever gets real life interaction with manhatten give him/her a slap arround the head from me, I had my keys in hand for a road trip round the m60 even though I have just visited a bunch of the stores today.

My local Mr T's has got the PS2 Game of the Week as Reservoir Dogs. Can someone tell me if this is the current deal or an outdated offer please?

    That is correct.

    Quick question.

If I bought King King twice and one was labelled and the other not. And I was overpriced then would they refund both? Surely they cant only refund one as they are exactly the same game. I havent tried it yet but just wanted to know out of curiousity!
    Thanks

If there was no SEL...and so the only price indication was on the "wrong" one you bought...then yes, I guess so. Not one worth pushing I would suggest.

Tried (unsuccessfully!) to keep out of this but feel I have to comment on this. I think you are taking this waaaayyyyyy too seriously, if you don't mind me saying (I'm sure you DO mind, but I'll live with that  ). This is NOT life and death, it's a GAME, should be a bit of fun and if you are going to Tesco with a view to getting R&R armed with the info 99.9% of Tesco shoppers don't have, then you really should have a bit of humility when it sort of blows up in your face. Seriously, to threaten a court claim for £4.16 of Capri Sun is really quite silly IMO, will only serve to get you noticed (NOT a good idea, btw) and maybe contribute to spoiling the fun for the rest of us. Treat it like a hobby that lets you eat nice stuff, etc. Take a chill pill, like bleugh (quite rightly) says, you win some, you lose some. Live to fight another day and all that.

Why is it taking it too far to complain about caprisun but not about an xbox? Why is it taking it too far to complain about caprisun but not about illagal bank charges? etcetera etcetera etcetera

    Different rules for different values?

Obviosuly I will make the choice of what is a good idea and what isn't...not you! I have decided it IS a good idea to get noticed. I couldn't care less if they know my name or whatever, I think they will learn that they cannot fob me off. Other people may be happy to be washed over with rudeness, have their rights taken away and suffer illegal acts...but I will always complain.

In my view, I hope that store gets a huge fine and thinks "it would have been better just to give the £4.16 in the first place!" Hopefully they will learn a lesson to uphold their own policy.

If they do pull the whole policy just becasue of my complaint (yeah right! maybe its you who should be taking the chill pill!) then so be it! I'd rather stand up for what I beleive in than let them win!...it was good while it lasted.

CS shuts at 6pm so couldn't do it. Anyone know how to play CS so they side with you?
