    Hi

First post on this thread, but know some mates from the Grabbit Boots thread post in here too.

Not a regular Tesco shopper, but I've done a few successful R&R's in the past on reduced goods being charged at full price. All slim pickings compared to some of the classics I've read about in here! :D

    Couple of quick questions:-

Say you're charged £10 for an item costing £5 and still make the payment. Don't CS ask "Well why did you pay for it if you knew you were being overcharged?" Does pleading ignorance always work?

When you tell CS that the SEL said xx is priced at £xx.xx, do they go and check the SEL? Is it best practice to go with them to the offending SEL? What happens if the SEL has been removed since you went thru the till?

Do R&R's still fully apply on Self-scan checkouts?

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work! :)

Although I haven't been taken to a room I have been shouted at a couple of times. I literally probably R&R once a month and for small amounts in this store. As soon as I walk up I am told 'you deliberrately do this, you're not getting a refund' And when I ask to speak to a manager the first thing that is said to them by the customer service person is 'Shes always here doing this deliberately'. I have remained calm and said I do not like the insinuation, but I have been called a b1tch as I've left the store twice now by this member of staff.

You should turn around and walk back to this member of staff and politely ask them if they would care to repeat what they just said and then ask to speak to this manager and make a complaint in front of them. You would probably get nowhere complaining to HO. There is no way you should have to tolerate this whether you r&r once a month or once a day.
  • Hi folks, just bought an xbox 360 premium pack and game of the week from local tesco. Chart games poster says save £20 when you buy game of the week and xbox 360 premium pack. Charged £279.97 for xbox and £39.96 for game. Total £319.93 - no £20 discount !

All customer services offered was the game on r&r , explained i'd bought a package deal and wanted it all refunded. They refused even after i mentioned trading standards etc. Phoned head office and they said i should only be offered £20 refund because a "discount" that is not applied is not an "overcharge". Couldn't get them to understand that i should have been charged £299.93 and therefore had been overcharged by £20

Left the store with the goods and no refund as i don't want to accept £20

What am i best to do ?

    Any advice please?
