• My boyfriend has also been scammed by this company yet again saying they were Google. Took the money from his account for his trial period and when he rang them to cancel they refused point blank. He had to contact his bank and be issued a new card and he is going to be ringing Oldham Trading Standards tomorrow.

• Thanks MSE forumites.

Did a bit of research on them while on phone to saleswoman. She got increasingly aggressive as I raised more and more objections. Then I accidentally hung up on her! Ha. My advice would be don't go with them. Far better solutions out there.
• Well guys looks like we all have to be more alert....I have a similar tail, I was contact with an offer of having a 24hr top place (page 1 in the top 3) on google for a trial period of just 31 days...this was only going to cost £99.....I questioned the validity of this achievement and was passed on to the assistant manager - his response was that the young girl was new and a little enthusiastic, the actual facts were I would appear on the 1st page of google in either the top 3 or as one of the sponsored links to the left of the page between 8am and 8pm,......7 days of chasing and I appeared there for just a few hours. I emailed / phoned them with regards to either doing what they promissed or refunding my fees....each time they were challanged, the goal posts moved....I guess this is why they don't offer a contract...

MY ADVISE TO ANYONE BEING CALLED BY THEM.....HANG UP STRAIGHT AWAY...AND DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MONEY!!!!!!!

at first, they claimed taht they are from google, only 1 month rial period. they took another 2 months of £99 +VAT for advertisement, with me not knowing. I canceld my card in the bank to make sure they will not take more money from me.
yesterday
worlwide m.s. called saying about 30 days cancelation policy, and if I don't pay another £99 +VAT he will take me to court. I said that I will pay, but with no my card over the phone, I will send him cheque or any other payment, but he refused!! he even offerd discount if i pay on the same day.

I will take them to court, for calming they are someone else (google company) and taking money from my account with me not knowing, as they said that they will sign me only for 1 month trial period and after that they will come me and I could sign for longer term.
No way! they are scammers!!
• feel so stupid. called them to cancel and was fobbed off. spoke to natwest fraud who have cancelled my card (so these people can't get any more more) and given me the visa disputes number so that a case can be pursued.

BEWARE of these people. They sound legitimate but they're clearly not, reading all these posts. Just refuse if anyone calls you up and if you've already fallen prey to them, get your card cancelled asap.
• Just received a call from this number today (0161 425 8171) with a very plausible and professional sales guy offering me a 30 day pausable ad on FACEBOOK rather than Google. Needless to say having backtracked the number to here from Google I won't be 'investing' but just thought anyone involved in this thread should be apprised of their new MO.

Good luck to everyone trying to recover your funds.
• Yet another (rather embarrassed) scammed fool !! I usually always put the phone down on companies trying to sell you something! Why didn't I go with my gut instinct this time? £140 down and hoping my bank can get it back for me for "service not as described"

I am a freelance photographer working in Kent and struggling to build a business. So when I was contacted by a salesman from the above company on the 15th Nov, who claimed that for £99 + one off £20 set-up fee then the vat a total of £139.83, I would be in the pink champagne area at the top of the google ads on the first page under 5 keyword phrases related to my business within 48hrs, I was very interested.

So, excited by this prospect I agreed to a month of advertising and after 48hrs my ads were not appearing, so I contacted the company who said they needed to wait for a tech report on my account, by the Friday 19th Nov 4 days later I received a call to say my ads were live. By the Sunday no ads were showing again, I contacted the company again on the Monday 22nd Nov they said that I must have another ad campaign on Google that's cancelling out their ads. I explained that I had no other ads and when they looked at my account I was told they had duplicated my account and that was cancelling out the Google ads. They then promised to rectify the problem and from then until now the 7th Dec my ads have not appeared on Google as agreed.

So on the 2nd Dec I sent an email to Net Search Media explaining the above problems and asking for my account to be stopped and for a full refund to be credited to my bank account, this was their reply :-

Dear Chris,

I have received a response from the directors and the Technical team.

As the ad has appeared every day, net Search Media would not be prepared to offer a refund.

The reason for the advertisement only showing occasionally each day, is due to high usage of the phrase that consumes the budget quicker, which is not a negative thing as people are using the actual phrase.

We would point out, however, that your ad has been on page 1 each day all be it not for 24 hours, which is not our commitment.

None of the above was explained at the point of sale and after spending £139.83 you would expect value for money, which Net Search Media have not provided. I still cannot find my ads and feel completely ripped off.

Google should look into these unscrupulous crooks that set them self’s up selling ad campaigns to small businesses like myself, making misleading promises that they can not fulfil!
