    Thanks everyone :)

We had a full team meeting today to give us some information about the changes, and I'm no further informed than I was before. My colleague and I (both who do the same role) are convinced that we are the ones in the firing line. Fingers crossed though, and we shall see what happens.

I'm still feeling more upbeat than yesterday so must have had the monday blues.

We have booked our weekend away this weekend, so that should be good. It turns out it was cheaper than expected so even better! :j

Nothing else to report moneysaving wise, and don't think there will be until payday. Need to get some more cash though, so will have to get my thinking cap on.

Oh, I had a very MSE lunch today :rotfl: I had two lots of leftovers in the fridge - neither was enough for a proper lunch. So I've had two 'mini-lunches' instead - egg fried rice at around 11am, and cottage pie just now . I couldn't see how I could eat them at the same time, so decided to split them. No food waste and no money spent either :T

I went hunting for my log book last night, and discovered that I hadn't changed my address, doh! That's why I haven't received the tax reminder.

It also means that I can't tax my car online, as the address has to be correct.

I spent ages hunting down my insurance paperwork, and couldn't find my MOT, though I eventually found it after going through the same paperwork twice. Time for a filing system methinks!

So now I have to try and fit in a visit to the post office, and my log book is duly filled out ready to be posted away. I haven't got a clue what the tax will be this year, so hopefully no nasty shocks. I need to do it for a year otherwise it will be due Nov/Dec which is no good obviously due to Xmas, but also my MOT and service are due then, so don't want to have it all at once!

I haven't been playing as much this week either, mainly due to all the changes. But I need to get back to it as I'm not that far away from a redeem again!

The vouchers from surveys and bp are a lifesaver. They have pretty much provided me with most of the books from the 1001 books list - all of which are sold again once I've read them. It is also guilt free spending so keeps me on track mostly.

Getting back to bingoport, Jwil, I joined up today to have a look around. What are the changes and why is it harder now to redeem an amazon voucher?

    Thanks. :)

    Hi peaceandfreedom,

In the past, you were able to use slot winnings to redeem towards amazon vouchers as long as you played 2000 points worth of bingo. Also, they used to have 2000 point guaranteed jackpots on bingo twice a day, one of them now has been reduced to 1000 points - this is the one I used to play most.

I used to get a good proportion of my points from the slots and the guaranteed jp on bingo, but now they are not there so it will take longer to do. Also there are more bingo players now so the chances of winning are less.

It's still a good option though, and I still play, I just might not get the vouchers as frequently as I was doing.

    Hey JWIL,

Just caught up with your diary and I am sorry to hear you're having a rough time of it of late. Sending you hugs!

I just wanted to say keep up the eBaying. At the weekend I suddenly got inspired to clear-out my office of clutter and 'bits' (those bits that don't really have a home but you can't throw away). I chucked everything in a box and dusted the desk. Tidy desk, tidy mind.....

Anyway, I got listing all the crap that was hanging around waiting to be listed. I even listed stuff 'for a laugh'. i.e. I'm probably going to end up chucking it out but thought I'd try my luck - and now I have bids!! People will buy anything! Old T-shirts / Tops (and I'm not talking designer items, Marks & Spencers mainly), paper carrier bags and even bras! (so long as they are in a decent condition).

I even vacuumed the office! Anyway, because the office is now in such a nice state, it's a pleasure to be in it, so I am more inclined to list stuff, especially as I have been a bit slack lately.

Keep at it! I am marvelling at how much you are making selling books on Amazon, I listed some a few months ago but nobody was interested. Someone did mention to me about taking them to the chap in the Bath Guildhall Market as he buys 2nd hand books (mainly crime fiction), so I shall be making a visit soon with my Susan Hills.

Stay positive anyway, even if you dont feel it, you are making a dent in your debt and you are inspiring others too with this diary! (me especially!)

Good to see you again eBayQueen, hope you are well. :) Sounds like you've done really well with clearing the office, it makes such a difference doesn't it!

I have loads of stuff ready to go on ebay, but I haven't really listed anything new for ages, so I need to get back to it. I've overspent this month, so no excuse now!

For every book I list on amazon, there are probably 8 more that aren't worth listing so they just go to boot sale. It's generally the more obscure authors that I find are worth it. Many of my books are bought by the 2nd hand booksellers, so it's probably a good idea to try the chap in Bath - I know which one you are talking about having visited his stall many a time :o

Hi DDFW, hope you are feeling a bit better now, or at least get a chance to have some rest soon. :)

I finally managed to tax my car yesterday, and have posted off the log book to update my address :o

I went in on the way home from work the other day, and after queuing for half an hour got told I couldn't pay by card, so as I wasn't sure how much the tax was, I just left it.

I went in yesterday and it was £130 for the year, whereas I somehow had it in my head that it would be about £180. Annoyingly, I would have had enough cash on me the previous time I tried, but as I thought it was £180 odd, I didn't bother asking

The other day as well, I decided to sort out my spare change coke bottle. I left the coppers and 5ps in there, but took out the spare change to put in a different money box so I can rob it in an emergency. Anyway, the £2 coins, and bits of silver came to a total of £130! So I have used that for my car tax, and didn't have to put it on the CC after all :j
