peaceandfreedom wrote: »Hee hee, well it's a good way to start the day off, don't you think? It's easy for me, though, I work from home, so once the kids are out the door, I get my own breakfast going. That morning it was potato cakes, mushrooms, bacon and egg.
Don't always have such a slap-up breakfast but I ALWAYS have a pot of fresh coffee (and maybe a cheeky square of dark chocolate).
Is this the Mary Berry one - I SO want one of those - I was holding off in the true MSE hope that it would be reduced and it IS.
And I am seriously impressed by your decluttering efforts - now maybe this time I'm next year I'll be in your league in the decluttering stakes.
On the plus side, sold something else on amazon, about £5+ profit, nice one.
Off up north for work tomorrow but I'll be back in the evening and I get to open my Sealed Pot - can't wait. I really hope there's around £300 in there but I think that might be hopelessly ambitious.
Well done on the sale, and hope you've had a good trip today. Have fun opening your sealed pot, that will be very exciting and hope there's lots in there!peaceandfreedom wrote: »Hooray for payday (I don't really have one of those, money comes in at odd times).
Boo about the renewal quote. You've reminded me I need to look into changing my car insurance, I fancy a bit of tasty Quidco cashback.
Good luck for the MOT, hope it passes with flying colours.
I'm keeping everything crossed for MOT, and I'm hoping for some nice cashback too with the insurance"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Wow, what a moaner I've been today
In not so grumpy news I've sold 2 books, yay! I also received a £5 amazon voucher today from a survey site so I've bought a couple of Xmas presents using that. I had a promotional code from amazon giving me £2 towards a MP3 album, so had a look on there and bought a coldplay album for £3 which cost me nothing, as I also had enough in my gift certificate balance for that too.:j
My folks have sent me some chocolate in the post - always nice to receive :A"If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney0 -
Thanks Guys, it's from a buyer in China, so who knows how long it will take. I wish that ebay/paypal would keep a record of INR claims and do something about it. I don't know, maybe they do.
The thing I would really like though is to be able to block people with private feedback - it wouldn't have worked here, as they put their feedback to private after they purchased, but it still makes me very suspicious. I don't even know why it's allowed on there - isn't feedback supposedly what makes ebay tick? I wouldn't buy from someone with private feedback, so why should I sell to someone with private feedback?
The other thing though, is I wonder if the darned items are just delayed in customs. I bet if they do eventually turn up the buyer won't be rushing to repay.
It's such a pain though, it wouldn't matter if it was only £10 or so.
Agree with every word - private feedback defeats the whole purpose of feedback - the only reason someone would make it private is if it's negative.
How very very very annoying for you, Jwil.:(0 -
So my sealed pot total was £257.70:j
OK, not as much as I hoped (I had dreams of reaching £300) but it's pretty good - that's £250 of actual cash that I get to spend Christmas shopping. :j
Trip oop north was fine, bit tiring but I get a fuel allowance which is about 4 times what the fuel cost me so nice juicy profit there.
Now it's December, I'm getting quite excited about Christmas. :xmassmile0 -

Aww, three cheers for your folks. Chocolate is always good. :T
I've got one of those amazon £2 vouchers as well - I'm strongly considering the Michael Buble Christmas album but I'm not sure. I'll have a little think.0 -

Something's happened to me which is going to completely disrupt all my debt-free planning......I'm pregnant!
