I need a new PC and have no idea what to buy - please help

I have no idea what a phan boy is? But most 'proper' programmes have a mac equivalent, even matlab is available on the mac. I am not trying to state that Macs are better than PCs, not least because they cost more, merely providing an alternative opinion to those stated. I genuinely thought it to be of use to the OP. I'm really not trying to start a mac vs pc war. For me, the mac works, but for others a PC can do the job just as well. Such hostility was hardly warranted in this case.
To the OP, research all the avenues, it's certainly the best thing I did. If you are wanting to spend a bit of money instead of upgrading your existing, go check out an apple store!0 -

2nd try!, first one was forgiven - see - they are all of a kind - evangelical
Yeh, it was an unfortunate first post, it's been doing the rounds as long as the Linux is better than ...... argument. I was trying to lead a new poster into a more generalist entry to the group, or at least help him / her to understand that these evangelical views are dragging the thread away from the O/P's needs.
Maybe ' Snooze ' was right and ' mpla ' ( is that the Angolian one ) has changed his 'nym' to troll here
mpla my friend, this site is called Money Saving Expert
