Everyone in supermarkets always thinks they are right. There is only one place for trolleys to go. IN THE AISLE. There is only one place you can stand to look at shelves. IN THE AISLE.
People, just accept that there will be times where you will be in someone else's way! Just accept that someone may equally be in your way!
That's why I always say sorry if I need to scoot in front of someone staring moronically at shelves, and say sorry if I'm staring moronically at shelves and people need past.
Similarly, I always say sorry if I need to move someone's trolley, and always say sorry if someone needs to move my trolley.

I don't say sorry if I have to move someones trolley that has been left across the whole width of the aisle, I say "excuse me" in a sarcastic tone. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

This has happended to me a few times i was looking at yogurt with my daughter waiting for her to pick what she wanted (i had a basket with me) some old woman decided then to rather move from one side of me to the other, to try and lean over in front of me and then when she realised she couldnt reach she asked me to pass it to her. It was a good distance from me as well, so i said no and she leaned across me more.So i moved my daughter away and said lets move out of the way as the lady cant wait a min. For her then to completly push passed me and hit my daughter (4yr) with the trolley. I lost it with her. I just cant deal with rude people. Doesnt help that im all hormonalMummy to Isabella - March 2008 and Daisie - September 2012:A - November 2011 (mc)0

So where do you put YOUR trolley? Is there ANYWHERE to put it where it's not blocking someone's view?
You get in people's way too! Is it nice to be sarcastic to someone who is unintentionally in your way? No reason to be rude!Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

I put it to one side so people can get past instead of right across the whole aisle, which is pig ignorant unintentional or not. Obviously you did not understand what I posted. That’s a shame, bless. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

And while I'm here... Parents! I know you sometimes have no choice about bringing your children to the supermarket - but you do have a choice about their scooter, rollerblades etc. and those can and should stay at home :mad:I need to think of something new here...0 -
I think adouglasmhor is referring to the sort of person who leaves their trolley at right-angles to the direction of the aisle while they wander off 20 feet or so to peer at something/ have a gossip/ chastise their toddler etc.

But it has happened in library too.
Simple, i am shopping, someone whether it is a old pensioner or a young mom will walk right where i am, and plainly stand in front of me so i can not see.
i was standing about 4 feet from the fridge so i could see everything as well as the prices, then along comes a huge fat guy,
Huge fat guys obviously need more room whilst looking at foodstuffs in fridges.
Stop moaning about nothing.0
