Venting - people usually in shops

Options
But it has happened in library too.

Simple, i am shopping, someone whether it is a old pensioner or a young mom will walk right where i am, and plainly stand in front of me so i can not see.

I have had this for years, and yesterday i snapped, there i was in Netto looking at the bargains reduced part in the fridge, i was standing about 4 feet from the fridge so i could see everything as well as the prices, then along comes a huge fat guy, he sees me looking at the bargains and decides he will stand in the small space right in front of me, i could not see a thing and he was so close to me i had to step back as if he decided to bend down for something or take a 2 inch step backwardshe would have banged into me.

What i don't get is why he did this, where he was stood the only thing he could see was a empty shelf :( so i pushed his shoulder and said "Excuse me i am looking there" he then turned round startled, so i just looked at him, he then moved.

Some peoples behaviour i do not understand, this has happened to me regularly for years and from now on i will do something about it, tired of looking and leaving with nothing because the ignorant person in front of me will not move and seems to stand there until i either walk away or wait for them to finish looking hand mauling the food before walking away with nothing themselves.

Sometimes happens in a library too when looking for a book, and i stand 3 feet back from the shelves so i can see, someone obviously thinks i am invisible and stands right in front of me.

Anyone know why people do this please explain. And if you do this yourself to people you need a kick in the butt and be told to move.

End of vent.

Annonying shoppers... Idiots who think the world revolves around only them and see fit just to leave their trolley parked any old way right in the middle of the aisle so nobody else can get passed.

Often they can see its really busy and half a dozen people need to get pass and they don't move their trolley out of the way. Arghh!

If I was standing 3 or 4 feet away, I wouldn't be able to see what I'm meant to be looking at.

It's no suprise really that people stand in front of you if you stand that far away.

Happens to me all the time. I stand very close to what I'm looking at so people can't get in front of me. People always seem to decide what I'm looking at must be interesting, and simply elbow me out the way! Then when I walk off, defeated, they get bored and toddle off elsewhere. It annoys me but I just don't have the incentive to start an argument with someone who clearly doesn't give a s**t.

The best time was when I was in Topshop, looking at the jewellery because I fancied some earrings. A member of staff of all people kept walking in front of me as I looked, doing the stock checking I think. I kept going to a different display and she kept doing it! Madness, when I worked in retail it was drummed into you that regardless of what you were doing you had to go off elsewhere and do something else if a customer wanted to look at something. Never mind though, they lost as a sale as I went elsewhere ;)

You're welcome, but I'm short sighted, not long sighted.

I think you need to chill out a bit - if you get that worked up just because someone stands in front of you what happens when you have to deal with a real problem. Just walk round em!
  • You should just elbow your way infront of them, they will soon get the message.

On Fuzzyducks point about shop assistants, they don't seem to give a damn these days. Especially in supermarkets the assistants will push trolleys infront of you etc.

You assulted someone in a supermarket then come on here to rant about THEM?
I detest ignorance in any shape or form, but your 4 feet away. You could get a trolley and a half through that sort of gap. You were probably 4 ft away from the other shelf/fridge too on the other side.
Have we all just to stop what we're doing whilst YOU decide what YOUR wanting to do?

    Oh.

I really hoped the story was going to include said big lad turning round and landing one on widelats.

    Shame :(

Haha I wait till they are not looking and go and park it on the next aisle, very childish I know but it make me laugh watching them look for there trolly.
