are you american? because that annoys the hell out of me.

No, i am from West Yorkshire originally, i now live in Newcastle, in Yorkshire "Mom" was the way its said, and in newcastle it is "mam" i think "mum" is rare unless your down south where they talk posh.

Anyways, i have had no more ignorant people just walk up and stand in front of me, i am glad i assaulted him as he would of been stood there all day if i didn't, he probably secretly thanked me and decided to start taking note of people around him in future instead of jumping in front of them.

    Thanks all.
    Owed out = lots.
  • I dislike the people who start nudging you slightly to look at the small thing your already looking at but then increase the nudges to big pushes. My DH and I now stand firmer and make comments very loudly about the ignorant people who obviously can't see us until they realise its them we're talking about they nearly always then move off sheepishly.

Or the other people who walk very closely to us as if they're in our group DH says we've got a new family member rather loudly towards them and they walk away from us.

There just seems to be no such thing as personal space anymore.

Also we say Mum on our side of Manchester unless its an age thing because our parents say Mam and they're all post-60.

Go and see an optician then, you need specs and eye tests are free for doleys.

They do specs for short sight as well.

    Free for doleys?

I'm not on the dole, so what on earth are you talking about?

And I already have glasses thanks, which weren't free at all.

I hate dawdlers. You know the ones, just as you're about to enter a shop, they stand in the doorway looking through their handbag.
The ones that stop just at the bottom of escalators are worse. You can't stop yourself, because escalators move, but if you crash into them it's your fault.

I also hate other people with suitcases on wheels. They carry it down the stairs, and then stop right at the bottom to pull the handle up and wheel it. Why not go to the side out of the way?!

I have had this for years, and yesterday i snapped, there i was in Netto looking at the bargains reduced part in the fridge

I find this happens to me mostly around the reduced section. I think it's something to do with the type of people that does the bulk of their shopping there. :)

i was standing about 4 feet from the fridge so i could see everything as well as the prices, then along comes a huge fat guy........What i don't get is why he did this,

Seems pretty obvious really. You were 4' away from the fridge and obviously left more than enough room (seeing as he was a huge fat guy) to make him think you weren't looking, but maybe just stood in the middle of the aisle blocking it ;)

    This is me.:o

I'm scared of escalators so i end up dawdling at the top and the bottom no matter which way I'm going plus I broke my knee a few months ago and I'm not as agile as I used to be which makes me even slower.
